This video gives the simplified concepts of design of axially loaded isolated pad footing using a numerical example as per IS 456:2000 code provisions.
At time stamp 10:35, kindly consider "The Area of ABCD = 1022.25 x 10^3 mm^2". So subsequently the value of Two way shear will be changed.

Hello Sir, Thanks for sharing this fantastic video. About anchorage or development of the main bars and distribution bars in the footing: if the calculated length of the Ld is too long for the space available in the footing, the bsr is bent up at 90° at the corner. What if even after the bend, the Ld length calculated is still too long for the space available?

Thanks a lot @sharuhasini2096 for the query. The multiplication by 10 to the power 3 is missed in "The Area of ABCD". The actual value of "The Area of ABCD = 1022.25 x 10^3 mm^2". So subsequently the value of Two way shear will be changed.
Sir is it correct to calculate spacing of bars placing in place of calculating number of bar.

Footing ka size Kam se kam 4 ft x 4 ft aur thickness 12 - 14 inch ka hona chahiye.
