Respectfully, I feel this song needs to include the often forgotten brothers in the nation to the west, and the smaller nation to the east. Prior to 47 and the chalaaki of the British, they too were a part of this great nation. May that again be. One day. And absolutely agree on your points about nationality. But heard it countless times since yesterday and each time they sing “Mere Vatan uth jaag ja” (which I believe is taken from Isaiah 61) meaning arise shine for your light has come, I can actually feel it in my spirit.
