When going to Death Valley CA on 8/8/23 the tour guy stopped by this plant, talked about it and poor water on it to give us the smell. That was the most beautiful and interesting thing I have ever seen. I love the Desert. I'm from Minnesota so I'm used to all the vegetation we have here.

When I was a kid in Scottsdale in the 60s my parents would make sun tea with the leaves. Supposed to have some health benefits. I remember it tasted like bong-water,

2:55 But I thought chuckwallas and desert iguanas also eat a lot of creosote leaves and flowers? Otherwise, I loved learning more about the creosote bush.

Thank you for this good info - wonder if one could get seeds to plant it? I m from a arid to semi arid country in Africa - should be able to thrive

If the creosote bush is so hardy, WHY is there not one single creosote bush to be found in Santa Cruz County, Arizona?

think the desert without this plant would be brown and barren.
