He's lasted longer than Paul did during Zenith's second pregnancy, and it took Succubus musk to get Rudeus in the mood. Teleportation over long distances seems to carry a an arbitrary degree of time lag. Aisha and Lilia materialized at night, as did Rudeus and Eris. Paul, Norn and Sylphie teleported a much shorter distance away and it was still daylight for them at their locations. The lag between the fixed circles seems to be seven minutes in one direction, based on the 15 minutes for Elinalise to get back. Rudeus described the feeling as waking up from a doze, so when they pass through the intermediate space, they're unconscious.

There was a TON of skipped content this EP but I see why they did it, most of it isn't very important to the overall story but it's unfortunate that we didn't get to see it. For ex the Beggarit continent is the 2nd most dangerous after the demon continent, they speak the fighting God tongue, and the giant skeleton is actually the remains of a creature called a behemoth (we see it briefly in this EP, the giant white creature). Also they had to hire a guide to Rapan and they were attacked by a small army of bandits, losing one of their body guards. Edit: there's one big thing actually about the culture of the Beggarit continent. The warriors of this continent are composed of both men and women. This was because when a succubus attacked the men were forced to sleep with a woman to break the control over them. They tried using slaves before but they just turned into dead weight so they trained the women to fight too. It was the duty of the female warriors to also sleep with the men when a succubus attacked. If they got pregnant they would return to their villages to give birth then return to adventuring. When elinalise teleported back to make sure it worked she didnt return for about 15 min. This meant that teleporting wasnt instant.

People forget Nanahoshi said in the last part that she and Orsted were using the teleportation circles to get around the world in a year. Orsted does use them to get around, so Rudeus was making sure to only tell people he can trust to not talk about them, since he's afraid of pissing off Orsted by getting his means of fast travel destroyed.

@@LordDecader_Edits Thing is, Mushoku Tensei is one of those stories where you really have to pay attention to every little detail, especially with how much isn't being shown in the anime. There's so many Chekhov's Guns that it's more like a Chekhov's Armory. Little things like how Ghislaine says during Turning Point 1 that she was trained by the Sword God Gal Falion himself, 6th of the Seven Great Powers. There's been enough information given (even in the anime) to figure out/guess who it is that Nanahoshi is talking about when she mentions an "expert on summoning magic."

Not sure if you caught onto everything that happened with the succubus, but essentially the pink mist you saw, that’s produced by the succubus, does increase lust to a degree that it’s more effective that the lust potion we’ve seen before. It’s essentially impossible to escape the effect. That’s why she told him to detoxify himself. You may have seen it too, but elinalise did blush too when she was sleeping. The only reason she withstood the succubuses pink mist was because of the magic item Cliff made for her. However, there is a charge to it, meaning its effects can nullify when it’s out of magical power. This is why Rudy was putting magic into it during that scene because the succubus essentially drained it.

The pink mist only works on mans, women only feel a putrid smell, thats why partys should ALWAYS bring some women on Begaritt. Also, well experienced mages like rudy can detoxify themselves, but warriors and partys without mages wont stop feeling lusty until they have seggs (Another reason to bring women) A party without women have 100% death chance in begaritt because of the succubus, in the LN they found succubus almost 4 or 5 times in this epidode journey ig

Fun Fact: The reason why them horse look big because in the LN, it describe them as an absolute unit of a beast in that world. Also Rudy got attached to the horse and he named him Matsukaze!

The time lag is only a couple minutes (Elinalise took about 15 minutes to get back according to the LN), otherwise the trip would've taken them longer. There's also a detail that was left out - when Elinalise teleported, Rudeus describes what he sees as her being sucked into the ground, and then it looks like the reverse when she came back (he actually didn't leave the room, and Elinalise also sees Orsted's coat since Rudeus didn't go looking around on his own). When I read this part in the LN, what I took from it was that teleportation is more like going through a wormhole than being instantly warped. There's also another detail that the anime does show during the teleportation, but it seems like you didn't catch it.

I don’t understand what happens to people and this time lag. Almost every reactor loses all grasp of logic and causality with this specific concept. I mean, Rudy was there, waiting for a bit and she was back, I can’t understand how it’s so hard to follow.

Episode 22 should be legendary and the best episode of the entire series in terms of animation. It will be directed by a legendary animator, Q Kawa (who has never directed an episode before) and some of the most talanted freelancers and veterans in the industry will also participate. Animators who have worked on the best animated Frieren, JJK S2 and CSM episodes. Here are some names: Vercreek (Frieren vs Frieren), Hironori Tanaka (Sukuna's domain expansion in JJK S2 Ep17), HoneHone (recent One Piece and also JJK S2 Ep17) and Toshiyuki Sato (also JJK S2 Ep17, explosion after Sukuna uses the fire bow).

The only difference is that it felt instantaneous to Elinalise, but in reality Rudy waited about 15 minutes for her to come back. There’s no crazy time lag to the point where they’re missing out on hours, days, weeks, months, etc. because of the teleportation time lag. Remember, Orsted uses these circles regularly to quickly travel across the world and nanahoshi traveled with him for a long time too. Teleportation circles were banned because of how they were exploited, not because of time lag. Considering who made these circles and how hidden they are, there’s no way they would have some serious flaw like an inconsistent time lag that was anything more than 15 minutes.

Rudy wasn’t waiting that long for her when she teleported there and back. That how long the time lag is. It’s probably minor as long as nothing goes wrong causing a much bigger time lag.

Time lag was 7 minutes. She was gone for 15 minutes total, 7.5 there, 7.5 back. The light novel told us.

Well, it wasn't the first night. They took quite a bit of time, close to 2 months I think by that point, and Rudeus only lost himself because of a succubus and her pheromones or aphrodisiac scent. And even then he managed to resist, while most other men (few notable exceptions) would have falle immediately. And the most important thing is that he's the only one on the entire continent who can actually detoxify himself. All others have to do the deed to return to their senses (they go to much greater detail on the LN). That event wasn't his fault at all. He had no control over the situation and the fact he resisted was impressive to say the least.

These guys always missed or forgot

It wasn’t Rudy’s fault. Missing material that could be a bit of a spoiler but I don’t think it is. The succubus stuff is poorly convey in this episode. They release a phenomenon that smells sweet to males but horrible to females and makes them fight with other males and have sex with any females not just the succubus. Detoxification is very difficult but the locals desert people have a way to deal with the effect but it may be a spoiler so I’m not saying anything, any other way is very difficult and Rudy had a very difficult time detoxing in the LN. So basically it’s wasn’t Rudy’s fault he got horny for Eli or any other woman if available.
