Tip for district building: Place the district as early as possible, even if not building it, then switch away in the production menu or cancel it. This will "lock in" the required production instead of scaling with each new tech.

@@armyaj District costs rise throughout the game as the game progresses. Otherwise it would take a single turn to make a campus that took 20 turns in the early game. Lets say it costs 50 production on turn 20. But on turn 200 it will cost like 500. (these numbers are just an example, not actually accurate) If you start the district early and then switch the production to something else, the cost will stay at 20 production instead of rising. So later in the game you actually might be able to build it in just a couple of turns.

Indonésia is my favourite civ in the game. I love the faith and water plays she can make. My cities become absolute power houses as long as I have coast. It’s so much fun to make it work.

Agreed! Buying units with faith is a lot of fun, especially when you are getting 100+ faith per turn.

I really love these games, every odd against u, yet making it work. Keep up those games! Though i would still love to see you doing the OCC loyalty only chalange. Only capital, the rest of the cities may only be aquired trough loyalty. Also no cheating by using eleanor or brasil :P Best of luck with the future content, keep them going!

For sure! It was close at times, taking over the Cree took maybe 50 turns? Which is quite a bit. If the Mali got walls in their capital, it would of been a different story. All of those levied units would of been done for.

this shows that doesnt matter how your start location is the game let you make the best out of it, this is also a advice for multiplayers who quit in the first turn because they dont like the location where they start.

Prince?!?! Pfft. Well, I did do a deity challenge where I didn't settle a city until turn 20. Now I'm thinking of trying out starting an era behind. I do make things a bit easier by using archipelago maps though.

I played a similar game to this, Malaysia on archipelago map. It’s amazing how 2 Jongs and a caravel can conquer most of an entire civ lol.

Yeah! Naval units are really strong in this game. Ironclads are no joke though. I've had an AI get them early in a previous play-through and they almost wiped out my frigate fleet. 😅

Late but it's Indonesia, not Malaysia. Civ 6's Indonesia is based on the Majapahit Empire, which was wholly Indonesian in origin

When Indonesian see the word Indonesia on the title: "We like that"

It didn't matter in this game but if you don't want to rush cartography, you can recruit Leif Erikson to move your navy over ocean tiles.

Desert Folklore + work ethic with Indonesia is my main tactic since the patch that changed Work Ethic to be adjecency instead of %. Only reason to pick Indonesia is that they are the best Civ to get the Pantheon (DF) early before the AI. Russia might be faster, but they usually go for the Aurora one.

I don't believe so. You'll need to actually build them. Same thing with Scythia and buying a light cavalry unit.

Often with religion, I go for faith from deserts or tumdra as well as work ethic so I can just have pious industry powerhouses

No theatre square culture victory probably wouldn’t be too horrible to do. Play as Germany and get all the culture wonders, and try really hard to get the great merchants and engineers that give campuses and industrial zones tourism.

A faith 🤦🤦 B Indonesia can buy naval units with faith. C you can buy lanf units with faith if you get grandmasters Chapel and civilian units if u get monumentally

Indonesia was DLC, if I remember right. Might want to check the store if you want to play as them. I believe that things are currently on sale on steam. Maybe epic too.

@@countryballs2005 gathering storm and rise and fall are both absolutely brilliant and I strongly recommend. The new frontier pass is also great and adds a lot of cool stuff but it takes away some of the realism that makes the game so fun by adding things like vampires. If you don't want to buy something for like 50 quid then get the persia and macedon pack (adds Alexander the great abd cryrus the great) or the khmer and Indonesia pack (adds gitarsia and jaraman the 3rd sorry if I spelt that wrong which I probably did). I have all the DLC and have played 1100+ hours
