About Descendants of the Sun (태양의 후예):
Some relationships are fated, despite the challenges of time and place.
Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki), the leader of a Special Forces unit, meets trauma surgeon Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) in a hospital emergency room after Shi Jin and his second-in-command, Seo Dae Young (Jin Goo), chase down a thief on their day off.
Shi Jin is immediately smitten with Mo Yeon, and he asks her out on a date. But Shi Jin keeps getting called to duty when he is with Mo Yeon, and the two also realize that they have conflicting views about human life (he will kill to protect his country and she has to save lives at all costs). They decide to break off their budding relationship as a result.
Dae Young also tries to break off his relationship with Army doctor Yoon Myeong Ju (Kim Ji Won) because her father, Lt. General Yoon (Kang Shin Il), thinks Shi Jin is a better match for his daughter.
Shi Jin and Dae Young are then deployed to the fictional war-torn country of Urk on a long-term assignment of helping the United Nations keep peace in the area. After repeatedly being passed over for a promotion because of her lack of connections, Mo Yeon gives up performing surgeries, loosening her principles somewhat to become a celebrity TV doctor and caring for VIP patients at the hospital. But when she refuses the sexual advances of the hospital chairman, Mo Yeon is picked to lead a medical team to staff a clinic in Urk! There, Mo Yeon unexpectedly reconnects with Shi Jin.
“Descendants of the Sun” is a 2016 South Korean drama series directed by Lee Eung Bok. The entire series was pre-produced prior to airing, which is a departure from how Korean dramas are typically produced. The stars and production team spent one month in Greece to film much of the series’ storyline. The drama also is the first project for Song Joong Ki after finishing his mandatory two-year military service.

@Nitesh M Both are sides of the same coin.I feel both of u guys are extremely right in your own way. I'm not generalizing either the boys or girls. A no.of girls do dream about such a surprise kiss from her dream man or whom SHE desires/ likes/loves. This is what one calls spontaneity. It adds spark to the relationship.😊 If u see this series,the girl is attracted to the guy in the initial episodes before she takes a step back.Yet never stops loving him.Looks.like the guy is intelligent and picked up her interest for him. A good number of girls are not that forthcoming / verbal about their desires.Somehow they want their dream guy to sense it and initiate intimacy without any direct signal from them.I know it's not logical at all.😊😊 Because a majority of men understand direct communication only.They don't pick up on subtlety which is a cakewalk for a good no.of women.It works like a charm only when the girl WANTS that too even if she is not that much verbal about it.That is the most important part. The guys needs to he astute and sharp enough to pick up on the signals.Of course the picking up of such signals should be based on proper observation and analysis and NOT believing what the guy wants to believe.For example.-A good no.of guys secretly start thinking that a girl is interested in them/ hitting on them just because she behaves in a friendly way.She most probably is treating them politely .Some Guys perhaps misinterpret them.In this series there's dialogue when he says that he thinks 100 times before initiating that kiss.So assuming that he did pick up some non- verbal cues from her is not wrong. This kiss will be called as molestation / assault/ attempt to outrage the modesty etc etc.if the girl is not interested and if the guy is a stalker and forcing the girl to love him. In no ways I'm glorifying or justifying this kiss..I just tried to present the point of views from both the parties in an unbiased manner.Hope I have NOT offended either of u...🙏🙏. And Apologies for this rant.Perhaps it may sound confusing ...🙏🙏

It wasn't completely non conscentual. She has been reciprocating his feelings all the while n ones heart knows where love is. He knows. N she never stopped him from stepping right in front of her n holding her chin up first.. it ws enough time to reject. Though visibly later he stopped as she shrugged. Anyways it is love that consents. Song- Song.. I love them together

@@niteshm6 consent can be given through actions too. Girls love spontaneity. She was uncomfortable the second time and so she turned her head. The fact that he stopped at that very moment is what makes him a gentleman. Btw that works in real life too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@j.zelaya4567 yes!! She was looked too mature for this, it was like she wanted to marry because she was getting of age.( love can happen at any age) whereas actress of her age Jun Ji Hyun was already married with kids and a great career.. but still she is a great actress.
I have never had crush no someone so bad as Yoo Sijin . His smile his doing everything and confessing love caring for them being a man of principles . Its hard to not fall in love with Sijin and hard to find someone like him in real life .

Ohhhh girl yes yes yes.... same here ....i have never had a crush on any k drama , movie or any kind of ml . But when it's come to yoosijin❤.. i don't know. But this is a kind of a character i wanted to be date. IT'S NOT A CRUSH FOR THE ACTOR , BUT THIS CHARACTER AS YOO SHINJIN .He feels like a comfort zone , safe and unconditionally love. I am not naive .but waiting for a yoo sijin❤

Well in reality being an army doctor you have to spend most of your bond period in borders, in warzones , hardly get to contact your family or come home. You will spend long bond periods like 15 years or 30 years and you can’t forfeit them. The best thing about serving in the army is that it is a thrilling and amazing feeling to be serving your country from the frontiers but the downside is you have to sacrifice quite a bit. It’s not as rosy as depicted in dramas. Being a doc myself (not an army doc though) and knowing docs who are army docs and serve in borders of jammu kashmir, etc which are mostly high tension zones, I know it takes a lot of courage, sacrifice and patience to choose to be an army doctor.
