Descendants of Plessy v. Ferguson create unlikely friendship

This week marked 125 years since the Supreme Court ruled in Plessy v. Ferguson. The infamous landmark decision would become the foundation for Jim Crow policies sanctioning racial segregation in public spaces for the next 60 years. In an effort to undo decades of racism, two unlikely friends have come together to teach history as a way to create a more just future. Michelle Miller has the details.
Each weekday morning, "CBS This Morning" co-hosts Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil deliver two hours of original reporting, breaking news and top-level newsmaker interviews in an engaging and informative format that challenges the norm in network morning news programs.

These people deserve the Nobel peace prize. A+ story. Virtual hugs from Virginia! What a lost opportunity for our nation so long ago.

It’s great to see people who realize they can make a difference and they actually go out and do it.

Separate but equal was the law of the land, a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States of America. It is an example that even when the highest court says what is legal, what is legal is not moral or right and sometimes must be changed!

Someone get ahold of the students at Harvard and remind them that having graduations separated based on race is literally the opposite of progressive. As most of them claim to be.
