I really love your review videos and so appreciate listening to you without loud distracting music like some of the others I tried to watch. Thank you sooo much!

The Chinese White is hands down the best white colored pencil. Very opaque. These are my favorite colored pencils, and very lightfast.

Thanks for these swatches. For some bizarre reason I accidentally ordered the lightfast set instead of this set ( I have no idea how I managed it!) The Lightfast are lovely but the colours in this set are wonderful! I'll hopefully pick these up soon.

The lightfast are supposed to be great too.

I have those and use them over my watercolour works. I love the fact that they lay down matte. I find that most other coloured pencils have some shine that I really do not want with the watercolours. I heard that the Derwent Lightfast also have a matte finish but I have not tried them for myself but I have considered byuing a few. Since my work is mainly landscapes and wildlife the Drawing Pencils colour palette suits me well but I might like bright colours to to work with my watercolour florals.

Lovely set to look at! I love the drawing white pencil-it’s my go-to white pencil for highlights.

I just checked Jackson’s and they do sell open stock at $2.23 and according to the Derwent website the set of 24 you have is the largest in this product line. Question: which other KZread artists are you following that I should put on my radar? I’m a fan of Irit, Alyona and Her Billowing Heart. FYI: after some additional research, I think I am going to go the TWSBI Eco route in a transparent body. ALL reviews out there have great things to say about the writing experience. Now to decide between a medium or a bold nib. I’m coveting a Sailor Pro Gear Mini in blush pink like you’ve shown because I think it will complement my Duchess nicely. A superficial reason I know but the aesthetic would make me happy.

There are so many good you tubers out there: AdventureDenali, Figboot on Pens, Dr. OttoKano, Inky.Rocks are some of my favorites for journaling, pens, and watercolor. I think you’ll be happy with a TWSBI eco in your collection-both medium and broad are great, so I don’t think you can go wrong. You might want to check out Endless pens online to see if they have any of the blush pink Sailor Pro Gear minis left-they have really good prices. Unfortunately it only comes in a medium-fine nib, which is pretty fine being a Japanese brand, but it still writes very nicely.

Mystery Arts and Crafts Thanks for the recommendations. I had not come across Endless Pens before so I’m glad you mentioned it. I’ve subscribed for their emails.

Funny, I just bought these pencils a couple of days ago. You actually can get a better deal if you buy these pencils in open stock. Also, check the price before ordering. I noticed on Amazon, Blick, and Jackson's, the price fluctuating dramatically within hours.

Yeah, I got mine open stock for 1/3rd the price... but it means I don’t get a cute tin 😞 But the pencils are beautiful!
