I’ve traveled and lived all over the world. My husband and I permanently made Derry our home over 40 years ago. I love it here, this is my favorite place on earth💕

Boy, seeing a lot of these pictures makes me feel old! I was born and raised in Derry and even some of these pictures from 2017 look EXACTLY as it did back in 1998, around the time I left New Hampshire. I have seen many of the historic photos as well and my only thought is... as much as everything changes...it stays the same. what a trip down memory lane!

Derry resident for 50 years, so many changes over the years. Unfortunately you don't realize how much you miss something until it's gone.

I jogged all over that town with Pinkerton track.Left over 4 decades ago and haven’t even been in the state for over 40 years.I think I have been in New England twice in that time. And that was CT.And very brief. Not avoiding the place .Its just a very big country.I am in south TX now.I can’t imagine me trying to jog around beaver lake again.I would totally be lost.My 5 miles would turn into 45.I would be dead in the woods somewhere. They would find me in spring.

0:17 shows trolley tracks going up 28 bypass by the old bike shop and turning right on Nesmith St. No old maps I've ever seen show the trolley tracks on those streets. I wonder where else they may have went that didn't make it on to those super old topo maps.

4:52 where is this? Also it's a shame that there is almost no trace at all left of the trolley tracks.

Heading east just beyond the East Derry Store which is to the left, The Taylor Library will be to your right. That trolley turned left down Old Chester road towards Chester NH. There were remnants of the track out near Adam's Pond when I was a kid.

Hi Leonard, I'm 51 but I lived in Derry from 1995-2016. It's completely different since route 93 was put in in 1963.
