I like the way D Rose played before the injury, but I didn't become his fan until he was injured. I still remembered the exact words he said after his injury: "I'm used to being the underdog, I can't care less what people say about me, even if I tear it ten more times as long as I'm playing hard and giving the game my whole, I could live with it for the rest of my life." Call me naive, but I believe every single word that came out of his mouth. his mentality inspired me not just as a basketball player but also everything I do in my life: I've tried my best and I will leave the rest to God.

i watch his highlights again and again and again.. i really miss you drose and thanks for all your sacrifice in chicago 🔥🏀

Man, those pre injury years were so amazing. The injuries stuck in his head and affected his play after not to mention I think it really bothered him some of the hate he got. Changed his mindset a little. His prime years were some of my favorite all time basketball memories though

Anthony Lewicki Derrick rose is now 28 usually all nba players pre injury or after injury or during.... there prime years are 28-31 so Derrick rose should have at least a couple of good years to still show!

You forgot to mention DWADE in your statement. Who's guarding him, Courtney lee come on. No one loves DROSE more than me but he couldn't carry the Bulls to the playoffs last year in the east with quality players around him, let's be realistic
