Think my 2 favorite lines from Dermot has to be „What if the love you deserve is love you never find?“ and then „Said you reminded me of the summertime, and I still mean that In a full room, I'm the only one she's smilin' at“

He truly is one of the most gifted writers and artist currently in the world. Why doesn’t Americans know it yet, and when is America going to figure it out? I’m old? but I know good music and true emotions of the soul. 61 years old with a heart like Dermot forever.💜🌈❤️

I just figured it out!! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I live on the edge of nowhere in Maine so gimme a break for sleepin on this guy! I came across his music totally by chance listening to of all things a freaking KZread ad that was the entire Truly Inspired presents Dua Lipa live show & Dermot performed 3 songs at around 7:20 (if you haven’t seen it yet you’ve gotta look it up here on KZread!) I’m not at all exaggerating when I say “Lost” had tears streaming down my face & I have no idea why. His music just hits you & stirs something in your soul. I only wish I found him sooner!

Can we discuss the "meaning" or references in this song? I may be wrong. The dreaded raven? Referring to edgar allan Poe's raven that quoths above the door "nevermore!" That same raven that haunts him as he slips into depression after losing his wife, lenore? When the snow begins - referring to different songs, specifically "an evening I will not forget" and "island fires and family" he says he was having a great time in the summertime, when the evenings are long. When winter comes just like his island fires video, its foggy, lacks visibility and depressing. Am I overanalyzing this? Got more?
