i believe you should only derma roll about once a week since it takes the skin about 1 week to fully recover after treatment, whether this counters the effects of 2x a day minoxidil use im not sure

Yea! Right now I've been reviewing various beard washes etc from scotch Porter, Shea moisture etc. But before I would just use African black soap or Cetaphil face soap

I’ve been growing a beard for a month with minimal results; so, I started using minoxidil (this is my first week on minox, only used it once a day). My thought process is stop derma rolling for a few weeks(been derma rolling for 2 weeks), and allow the minoxidil to increase in my system. Thoughts?

Yes with a beard oil or moisturizer because the 0.5mm dermaroller is great for topical ointments being absorbed into the skin.

i've read a couple of comments saying that rolling over a preexisting beard can actually damage/destroy the roots. Any thoughts on this? My cheeks are the weakest area so i was considering a routine whereby i only dermaroll on the cheeks and then apply minox as usual on the chin..

Hey man, yea it stings a little and yea my face is slightly red afterwards (not extensively since I have darker skin) and usually around my moustache/goatee area.

So I was wondering, why are you using a 0.5 mm dermaroller instead of a 1.5 mm one? The original idea of dermarolling to increase hair growth that your basing your video on came from this study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3746236/ and in this study, they used 1.5 mm sized needles on the dermaroller. Other than that, good content man

Well 0.5 mm is what's recommended for use on facial skin. It's not recommended to go past 1mm on the face. The study you posted was done on the scalp and so 1.5mm dermarollers could be used. In fact anything above 1mm should only be used by a medical professional as serious injury may occur otherwise

Actually you shouldn't apply anything to your face after dermarolling for at least a couple of hours. Not even moisturizer. Dermarolling opens all your pores and the moisturizer will block them.

it is dangerous to do that as the minox will go straight into your bloodstream and can increase the chance of cardiac side effects.... if you dermaroll do not put on minox until the next day

minox in the morning then derma at night but dont apply minox after the roller, then skip minox the next morning but apply at night as usual. You must wait 24 hours after you dermaroll to apply minox.... he states this in the video....
