Derek Jeter Breaks Down His Most Iconic Looks | GQ Sports Style Hall of Fame

Спорт

"Being the first baseball player that wore 11s and turned them into cleats and then develop my own shoe year after year? It was a fun process." The legendary Derek Jeter is being inducted into our inaugural GQ Sports Style Hall of Fame. From his first World Series win with the Yankees in 1996 to his Cooperstown Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the Captain breaks down the iconic looks that made him the style legend he is today.

I have loved this boy since I first saw his face. He is one special person, predestined for stardom and fame. He worked hard for all his achievements, having had great parents to guide him. He could look great in a paper bag. Most of all, he is to be applauded for his moral compass and positive image to the kids of the world. There will never be another like him.

Thank you GQ for this interview of the Captain. I grew up outside of Chicago but have been a Yankees fan since 1978 when Bucky Dent was SS. Jeter was one of the best clutch hitters in the franchise. So fun to watch him play. His book, “The Life You Imagine”, is inspiring. I have always admired his laser focus and discipline. My friends/family sometimes give me the business about being such a Jeter fan, but he truly deserves all of the recognition he receives. It’s not just how he played the game of baseball, it’s how he has lived. Seriously, read the book.
