@@chillytrain Watkins threw himself into the keeper knowing he wasn't going to get the ball under control and the ref fell for the act. I don't mind the refs mistake that can happen when there's a load of players around but VAR should have reversed that in my opinion.

Bruno got his tactics spot on 👏 Wolves played well 👏 Jonny was indeed on the spot again, and the second goal was great movement 👏 it was a little bit tens at the end but what a game. Wolves scored 2 goals but it could have been so much more! On to Newcastle! COYW, Always Wolves 🐺

It's the detail that matters, Sa scrambles to retrieve the ball from the back of the net... rather than sulk because he was beaten. This buys a few mor eprecious seconds.

I understand it was a rhetorical question, but the only reason it was given and VAR didn't intervene is because Watkins touched the ball first. It's astounding that no other factor was taken into consideration though No goal or control attempt from Watkins, just aiming to get a foot on the ball (he knew exactly what he was doing/playing for). The way he crashed into Sá, with no consideration of his safety from the officials (I thought GK's were protected). A shocking decision in all honesty. It should have went against Watkins in my opinion, but at the very least it was a simple 'coming together'.
