Really enjoyed this! I was there for the Iwan Roberts game and then emigrated to the US and lived there for 20 years. I can't believe I didn't miss a Wolves win at the Hawthorns in all those years. This felt very, very good :-) Cheers for sharing! Dawson? Definitely off his chest ;-)

Glad you had your first Black Country derby with Wolves winning. I am supporting this club since 1997, and blimey this was the first time Wolves won there during my era! Quality Georgia, as a Dundee fan I have seen it kick off at our Derby with United but it calms down afterwards, nothing better than winning away against your worst enemy though.

I'm a wolves fan this is the best Derby in the country I used to go to these Derbys in the 70s and 80s I lived for them

Totally agree don’t sit in the home end and think you can celebrate at a derby because you won’t get out without something happening to you. Even at a Brighton palace game I wouldn’t sit in the home end and cheer and they wouldn’t sit in the palace end and cheer because you’ll get yourself in shit. Even at a normal game you’ll get issues. Glad your all okay though was nasty

Wise words. It's an unwritten rule - fine to sit in the home end during a run of the mill game if you don't make a dick of yourself, but don't test this rule at a derby because those games bring the simpletons and the angries out. As for our games at yours, I don't bother with them anymore. I cba with the kettling and all that shìt and I have a STH Palace mate who doesn't even bother with your home games against us!

I don’t believe baggy stories that the trouble was started by Wolves fans in the home end - one even saying a Wolves fan spat in a WBA players wife’s face! - just WBA hasbara bullshit. Baggies fans obviously tried to void the game with violence after the 2nd goal - the instant they knew they weren’t gettin’ anything from the game. On 5Live 606 a Wolves fan said that bloodied slap-head WBA fan being led off was still trying to get at Wolves fans while he was being treated! Bullshit aside - WELL DONE WOL🧡ES & fans!!! Glad you got tickets, great review. About the trouble: I have, many many years ago (we're talking before you were born) been in home ends at away games (Bristol Rovers & Swindon Town) where we've won and have managed (just about) to contain myself. You DO have to be sure you can contain it if you're gonna be so bold. I have also sat next to Liverpool, United and Arsenal fans in the North Bank when they've been playing us and have kept schtum, because at the end of the day these people have such a desire to see their team play that they've risked it and, more importantly, because I'm not a f*ckin thug. At the end of the day it's football. We might not share the same adoration for each others teams, but we still share the same space on the planet, we still have the same right to live peacefully without fear of violence. Anyway - we beat the Albion, and that's what matters most ;-)

Dear Georgia, I am John, I am a Baggies fan in peace, Firstly I loved your end of Vlog analysis, you are absolutely spot on with what you stated about the reason for the troubles, it was a Wolves fan in the Albion section, and as you describe the event of the Wolved fan celebrating is exactly what happened..👍 At the time of the trouble I have to praise the Wolves fans as they stayed in the Smethwick end and did not move,.. I have seen a variety of Baggies fans video footage and the only ones to blame are the WBA fans, summed up by the fact of the 6 fans arreseted 4 of them were WBA fans.. For me the FA need to throw the book at WBAFC with heavy fine, points deduction, and for the rest of the season matches played behind closed doors,.. As for the Wolves fan in the Albion section who stupidly stood up celebrating your second goal then spit at one of our players family in the same seats..that is for WWFC and police to deal with.. On the game itself, for me Wolves rightly deserved their win, whilst our players gifted Wolves the 2 goals by shear incompetance, the reality is Wolves were by far the better team..Premier league against Championship that day and performance wise Wolves wiped the floor with our pathetic players.. I wish WWFC every sussess in the FA Cup and rest of the season.. As for my club..words fail me now after Sunday, we are a family based fanbase, and genuinly only want to watch good football, but given our ownership and ameteurish players then we are now in deep DEEP shit..!!
