Spektakuläre Regie und überragende musikalische Interpretation ergänzen sich hier zu einem beeindruckenden Gesamtkunstwerk. Ein großer Dank und ein verdienter Applaus allen Ausführenden und Beteiligten!

Was bitte ist daran genial, wenn ein Regisseur um jeden Preis originell sein will? Warum muss eigentlich der Dirigent sich an die Anweisungen halten, die ihm der Komponist vorgibt - der Regisseur hingegen sich das Recht herausnehmen, alles nach seinem Gutdünken zu pervertieren?

@@BayerischeStaatsoper I saw the complete production and found it as original & thought-provoking as Richard Jones at Glyndebourne, and with a wonderful trio of debutantes in the principal roles who can act as well as they can sing. The 2016 Bayreuth Ring is permanently available on KZread. Is there any chance of doing likewise with this? Failing that, I would buy a DVD if it were released..

Yes that is Marlis Petersen, with Samantha Hankey & Katharina Konradi. I have asked Bavarian State Opera if this can be made permanently available on KZread, or released on DVD.

Wrong role for Petersen. She’s a Sophie.
