Der Königgrätzer Marsch Berlin Tattoo 2011

Музыка

The Königgrätz March, also known as Der Königgrätzer or Der Königgrätzer Marsch, is one of the most famous German military marches, composed in 1866 by Johann Gottfried Piefke in commemoration of the Battle of Königgrätz, the decisive battle of the Austro-Prussian War, in which the Kingdom of Prussia defeated the Austrian Empire.

The march is of Prussia, a German state that had a great military history, winning the seven year’s war under Frederick the Great, fighting Napoleon and helping the British at Waterloo, beating the Austrians in the Austria-Prussian war (where this march is from), beating the French again in the Franco-Prussian war, until it finally dissolved in 1919

Lmao everything you saw here was Prussian parade style, the Goose-step is not used because, well, there was no reason to do so. And there were no specific uniforms for Prussian parades; the Prussians bore Prussians Blue, Feldgrau and the armies after them had camoflage and feldgrau.

  • @cloroxbleach9222

@Steiner von Hoffmann Germany's not going to do that since they want to showcase a modern army and you don't really think modern with just solid steel helmets. However, Germany does still use hard leather hats that resemble Stahlhelms and they are usually used in small scale parades and ceremonies.

It’s interesting how music played such a big role in WWII. Just a few months ago, I was in the Dachau Konzentrationslager and read that German soldiers would often form Jewish choirs to torture the prisoners and further encourage the Germans. With this song in particular, it was a very big morale booster for the Germans because of its fanfare-type feel to it. Regardless if it’s related to Prussia and/or the Nazi party or not, it’s a very good song musically. Edit: this is coming from someone who has studied music and its origins for a long time.

Nobody said they had to lose any traditions, just the bad shit like militarism, and wanting to conquer all your neighbors, or even the world. And of course tyrannical treatment of Jewish folks and other ethnic groups is a bad thing, no question about that.

rogue blue it takes a LOT of breath to play a piccolo; I played flute-which is, by any measure, less strenuous to play than piccolo, but it still takes a helluva lot of air to reach notes in the upper register. :-P I'm impressed that lad got through this march without fainting!
