I just got a Structure Core sensor. Super excited about it. It seems the SDK is still pretty early stages and sparse but that's OK. I bought it to use with a Jetson Nano but that option is off the table because for some reason it doesn't perform well with the Jetson Nano at all. The framerate is horrible when used both depth and rgb or IR. I have seen videos of the Intel Realsense camera working just fine with the Jetson Nano. So I don't know if it's an issue with the drivers on ARM or what. Anyway, the depth quality on the Structure Core is spectacular. I am much happier with it than my Zed Mini which is collecting dust. I just need to get it working with some kind of ultra portable PC at decent framerates. Maybe a GPD Pocket 2. How is the depth quality on the Intel Realsense though? Is it much worse than the Structure Core or is it the same? Seeing it work fine with the Jetson Nano is a bit of a bummer for me, makes me think I maybe should have bought it instead. However if the depth accuracy on the Structure Core is better then that's fine, I just need a better portable PC.

Hi! Loved the video. Can you do an intensive review and comparison of the D435i and Occipital Core? I want to select a depth sensor for indoor navigation, basically to fly a drone at a safe distance from a feature-rich wall. I am considering the accuracy and precision of the sensor since I want to fly close to the wall(40-100 cm away). Would love your suggestions. Cheers!

water_skipper No sir, I would recommend a fusion-based system with lidar and photogrammetry.
