I'm delighted with the Amped 1. When I first tested it out during soundchecks in Germany, none of the band noticed the difference between it and my Marshall head! I'm blown away by the Amped 1!! I dont often get excited over new gear but this is one excited guitarist! Thanks guys!

One of the great things about BlackStar is they accept pedals really well I had an ht20 head and using distortion pedals on it sounded way better than other amps hopefully this pedal will be the same

Ive been a Blackstar amp user for years so. I wish they’d make a compact effects pedal switcher with midi at a decent price and I’d have this and the switcher.

Ok, this amp pedal has many things going for it. One thing that is not mentioned is that in order to change the reverb parameters you need to have a computer device attached to the usb port. The reverb knob on the pedal is more or less a dry/wet mix knob for whatever adjustments you made from the computer/software (architect) . As far as I can tell the Preset ft switch can store only one preset that can be activated by pressing the switch and thereby overwriting the current physical state of the controls . Pressing it again you go back to the original physical settings. Somewhat limiting but maybe better than nothing. The midi input implementation can control much of what the physical knobs on the unit can do. So with a midi controller ft switch pedal or similar device you would have more control options via external ft switches etc. While not exactly a full on modeler it has more tone options than other pedal type amps like the seymour duncan or orange series.

This sounds great. Does it handle variable voltage to cater for dodgy electrics thatbare at most venues? If so this could be a no brainer

Great product, really tempted. I see you can change FX loop settings via MIDI, but can you turn it on and off via MIDI? Say if you have one pedal in there that isn't MIDI controllable. That would be really useful for me.

Can you use and how do you set up this as a power amp? For instance I have my little Mooer 005 preamp pedal, can I add this to this platform the way I set up the Mooer pedal to the return side of an camp's power side?

Very nice features into a small sized amp. It would be perfect for fly gigs if it also had a 4ohm output, so it could be used with most speaker cabinets (e.g. something I often do is bring my head and use the speakers of a backline Twin). Can it take 4 or even 2 ohm loads?

Thanks for the feedback Enrico! On the AMPED, The output marked ‘16 OHM’ is for the connection of a single 16 ohm speaker cabinet and the output marked ‘8 OHM’ is for the connection of a single 8 ohm speaker cabinet. AMPED 1 can deliver its full 100W of power at 8 or 16 ohm impedances. 🤘

Which unit for Queen, EVH, Vai and Nuno?

Sounds amazing! And with the USB out can you also use it as a interface and for example use it with a laptop with a plugin?

yes, USB is 4 channel audio and the unit will appear as a sound device in any DAW

What does the FX LOOP PRE/POST do at 2:50? Couldn‘t find anything in the manuals. Is It per/post built-in reverb? Any advice appreciated.

In order to engage the FX loop, a load would need to be present via the input (this can be a dummy load if required) however, if you select a "flat" voice and linear response, this turns the AMPED into a Poweramp, so you would be able to achieve the same effect.

mono input, mono speaker output + choice of digital outputs gives you either mono or stereo output (stereo because software introduces room sounds)

BLACKSTAR, you should of added a SAG control to control the amount of SAG and compression. Also add in dumble tone stack eq and fender super reverb tone stack eq to get those srv tones.

While this looks like yet another nice take on the pedal board amplifier, it is insulting to me that Blackstar felt it necessary to steal the name, marketing (100 watt amp in a box), shape, chassis, and whatever else from another man's product. Would it have killed them to come up with an original name?

Blackstar, please just go back to making good quality, affordable real tube amps! You’re HT series and anniversary models were great. This is just a bluguitar rip off with some added features! I’d be surprised if Bluguitar doesn’t have some kind of copyright infringement case here. Genuinely. And the St James range - saying it was a game changer and the future… just because it was light - that was rubbish too and ripped off Morgan with the design. You’re slipping, up your game. I’m sorry to be a hater but it’s true.

Really? "Amped"? It's one thing to try your own attempt at an amp in compact pedal size. But there's a line between being inspired an a cheap rip-off like this. I liked your products (I owned one of your 20 Watts combos and one of your 1x12 cabs). But this behaviour sucks and I'm absolutely done with your company.
