Sadness comes to my eyes when I come back to watch this video. It is an amazing lecture by our brother and dare I say one of the very best may Allah reward him. I watched this video first in 2012...it's amazing how much time has passed and yet I remain to be exactly where I am...few hurdles and obstacles but no where further in this false reality of life. We are sitting waiting for things to happen to us and for us yet we don't put in the time and hard work. Life's passing by so fast I'm 32 soon I'll be knocking at 47 and dare I live the same way...the way of idleness and uselessness I'll have regret about the vast amounts of time I had but never used it wisely. This lecture is truly ahead of its time. While the world chases money and material goods and presents their false life on social media...you have to stay ever so patient with your life.

Brother, how did you go through your hardships? What did you do and how Allah helped you?

I had the honor of attending the masjid he was the imaam for many years....research his other lectures...the depth and variety of inspiration is incredible

I just started listening to this intelligent man it’s 2019 but his voice tone is superb I love 💕 his English

So profound Allahuakbar, May Allah reward and protect the family of the sheikh in the dunya and akirah, and bless us with scholars who will inspire and lead this ummah back to the goodness truth and enlightenment

this speech worths more then 1thousand speechs.. i have heard alot of speechs from western non muslim speakers to make myself happy and content but none touched my heart... then i heard one clip from this lecture by ink of scholars it touches my soal, then i downloaded full lecture this one and i think it should be listened by everyone who think he is depressed. .. from that day there is ammence love of shiekh sulaiman in my heart, though i haven't seen him....

Masha'Allah may allah swt bless the Sheikh. The Sheikh is correct when he says that taking anti depressants does not resolve the problem rather it aggravates the problem you are trying to resolve. The best medicine for facing trials and tribulations in life is to read and UNDERSTAND the Qur'an and put what is learned in practice. When people get depressed/anxious is due to "lack of emaan" because they are too emotionally attached to the possessions of this world.

I've not heard of this speaker before. please tell me more about him! I loved this talk and his knowledge has astounded me. May Allah forgive him. May Allah forgive me because I am usually a snob about people talking English in 'off' accents. But before you all condemn me, may I also add that despite this petty thing this speaker has amazed me which is a testimony of his knowledge and the impact he has had. May Allah grants us all jannat. May Allah guide my heart and purify it of all sins.
