True true! I worked valet at a country club before, and EVERY 12 banger from BMW, Benz, Bentley, Audi... the starter noise is always the same. WHIRRRR.... hummmm.

Great to hear you mentioned your family and how it's a great daily drivers that accommodates everyone. World class big fella.

First of all, congratulations to this absolutely stunning car, a dream to have :) The second thing come to my mind, I'll hope you saved some money because this kind of car eats your hard earned money when it comes to maintenance costs. The V12 engine is brutally expensive when it needs to be repaired. Just an advice, take your Merc every year to your local Merc dealership and do a full check of your car, it will costs you but eventually saves you from any other huge trouble.

Thanks for your videos! They helped me decide to buy a 2009 CVPI. I didn't buy it at an auction, I bought it second hand, but reguardless, your videos helped a lot in thw buying process. Enjoy your supercar of an S-Class!

I work at a Mercedes dealership and one of our owners let me take his 2017 s65 AMG COUPE to go and get Chick-Fil-A....gunned it out of the dealership and got slightly like just barely sideways. Things so fast and smooth its unbelievable hitting 130mph in it was so effortless it makes me wonder why they even bother with putting a limiter on these beasts. That plus I took the long way to chick fil A. What can I say the order said it was ready online but actually wasnt ready 😈😈😈 not my fault the food was cold when I got back. That plus we also had an international college student come in with his catless brabus s63 AMG Sedan...... that thing literally shook the building. I mean it was insane we ended up having to take it for a "road test" literally heard the thing a mile away kick down on the highway. They're expensive ASF to maintain and lose a shit ton of value but I can see why after driving some of them. That v8 sound plus the tune ability of the twin turbo v8s is pretty respectable.

I would also be quite afraid to push this nearly three ton beast that fast on 275's with 740 horsepower.. This machine could easily use 305's at LEAST.

Bought the exact same car in April of this year. Changed the spark plugs...PITA but worth it to save $$. Thank goodness I have plenty of meat left on the rotors! Looking to possibly do the eurocharged tune but like you have to keep the cats. Massaging seats with a dynamic control function that holds you in your seat going around curves using the inflatable bladders...insane. The only thing it lacks is iPhone integration. Glad you’re enjoying it!!

Just an interesting fact, I don't recommend you do this, but it may help a viewer; In California the seller of a vehicle is responsible for providing the buyer with a valid smog / emission certificate (this goes for dealer, or private party). Any costs incurred by the new owner to get the vehicle to pass a smog / emission inspection can be recouped in small claims court (Judge Judy). Example: You buy a car, it fails a smog check, you spend $2,000 on repairs to get it to pass a smog check, you take the seller to small claims court, and a judge may award you a $2,000 judgement. If the seller fails to pay the $2,000, you can petition to have a county sheriff execute a "Till Tap" at the sellers place of business until the $2,000 is collected, or file a lien on any property they own, (real estate, land, house, cars, etc.) How many people know about this law, and actually do it? Very few.

Seems like you are an expert on driving laws. I had an accident which the other driver had all expired documents ( driver license, registration, insurance, etc) I won the case at small claims court but she cannot be found. According to California state laws my judgement will uphold for 10 years with interest added to the original amount. What can be done to collect asap. Thanks in advance!

@@tmph1814 Sounds like you may need to hire a private investigator to find out her job, place of business, residence, real estate, property ownership etc. Then you may need to file leins on any property she owns, house, car, land, etc. If she owns a business you be able to employ a till tap. If she's an employee, you may be able to garnish part of her wages. It's complicated to say the least.

Awesome car! Congrats on adding this beast to your stable! That thing must produce some organ-flattening power. I have the 08 S550 4Matic with the pano roof, radar cruise, night vision..., but I recently got an SL600 V12. Unfortunately there are some issues so I haven't experienced the full beast power. I have some videos of the problems on my AutoAddict channel. I picked up the V12 for less than $5k, which was pretty exciting, but we'll see how much it'll cost to get the full power out of it. Anyway, good luck to you on your monster! I love the Benz V12's!

Funny that you brought up the Gran Fury. I'm still a little saddened that she's gone. This Mercedes is super cool and fast and tons of luxury but your soo right about that little Plymouth and how it made me smile, every time!

Window spray works amazing to get the sticker residue and front window tint. Makes it a 5-8 minute job.

Not sure if you know yet - on each side of the bottom of windshield aft of hood, there are little drain tubes that act like a rain gutter and carries water from the windshield beneath the car bypassing many body seals on the firewall. There's also a drain hole in the very bottom of that AC air intake under the the passenger side hood vent, use a flashlight and look down into it towards the left bottom. You must keep leaves out of these drains because if you don't, your floor boards inside will fill up with water and destroy a computer component worth about $15k. The main cause of this is the drain inside that AC air intake. They designed it to allow air flow into the cabin AC filter and water that gets in through the hood vent flows below that air duct to the drain hole in the bottom. When leaves clog it up, the resevoir fills with water until it reaches the duct that allows air to reach the AC intake. When this happens, its like a water fall filling up your floor board and the water frys the computer stuff under the seats front and rear. Look along the entire bottom of the windshield, there are 4 drains from left to right or right to left. One on each end, one near the windshield wiper mount and the one inside the bottom of the AC air intake. I sold a few of those new back in 07, and I can't imagine how it depreciated over 150k, when that was about what the sticker was on average for most of the S65, and most S63's were in the 120k range. And that shield in the grill is for the Dynamic cruise control which Mercedes calls "Distronics System)!

This vid popped up on my feed so I got re-energized about a car I've seriously considered getting (I've had a W211 E55 for over ten years). So I jumped over to Autotrader to check them out...and saw this car listed today:). Gentle reminder that these cars are a maintenance nightmare and I would likely regret the decision, as it seems he has:)

Many states charge penalty for not transferring the title within certain days after purchase, watch out for that, and congrats on the new ride and RE-TINT the front windows after all inspection is done!

Totally agree with you! You have a jewel!!! Damn right about the stickers too... and the throttle, I have an S550 V8 and is the same thing, sport transmission and is ridiculous how much pedal gas you have to give it but, in manual with a lot of throttle, that's something else. How noisy is the interior without cats? Did you hear any? Planing on do the same in mine.

8:55 I forgot to mention this earlier. I'm probably wrong, but about your throttle issue. Some cars with an electronically controlled throttle body, and transmission have an adaptive learning strategy. After an amount of driving time, the car's computer will learn your driving style, and try to predict your driving behavior to improve response, and transmission shift points. Since your the new owner, you may want to reset any previous learned strategies. Usually you can do this by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery, and placing a rag over the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental connection. Next take a jumper wire, and connect the car's negative battery cable with the car's positive battery cable for 15 minutes. This will drain any residual power from the computer modules, or capacitors. After 15 minutes, reconnect the battery, start up the car let it idle for a minute, or two, and take it for a drive like how you normally drive. I learned this from FordTechMakuLoco. Especially with the Euro-Charge you may want to do more research before attempting.

There is a transmission relearn/reset you can do by turning the steering wheel to the left and right a certain amount of times. No need to disconnect the battery.

Yo Melanie, This is the first I've ever heard of this. This sounds really neat, and a lot easier that disconnecting the battery. Can you provide a link to the full instructions? Preferably from the manufacturer. I'd like to read up on this, and confirm, and verify if it's actually true. -Chuck

Dang- 15% of 190 is $28.5K. That's an insane amount of car for just over the price of a basic Camaro. Wow. Enjoy to the max!

I do not mind the bits of carbon wrap on the exterior. It is not over the top and it is not everywhere. I especially like the idea of using it in the grille.

Rule of thumb is to adjust your rear view mirror before you drive. In a w221 Mbz, you adjust the seat before you drive also.

Usually you are smart and buy great cars but this .does look good ! wishing you luck .

I had an 07 S550 just like this about a year ago. Before you guys go out an decide to get one just know that this is a maintenance nightmare! You better have the money to keep it up. Like I told everyone that saw it , “it’s not the payments, it’s the maintenance!”

I run those same tires on my 2001 Jaguar XJR. One of the best tires for the money. Little fun fact about the Ohtsu fp8000; Falken sold their tire mold to ohtsu and the fp8000 is still made in the same factory as Falken. Extremely sticky tire!

Chris, you should continue to post updates on this car on every repair bill. This car is so expensive to fix, you may need to put a mortgage on your home to cover the repair. Like god damn. I'd love to take it for a spin and the exhaust sounds so nice. I mean, no joke, it sounds great. But I would never come near owning a car like that with the repair bills that could easily put a middle class man on food stamps.

East Coast Classics 🤣Well that’s a standing offer Chris!😂. You may or may not be correct with my future daily 😜. It’s currently at a shop getting some 🐎 _performance_ 🐎 upgrades done🤩. I’ll be doing any appearance upgrades myself.

Let me dig up my list of routine repairs that were not only valves but a laundry list of electrical issues. Im guessing that beauty has suffered a major beating. Get a read out on the ecu, and a big expensive well documented warranty!

I simply love this car. Would prefer this to 222 or newer gen
