I could get so emotional commenting how much you have helped me. I actually got recommended to watch your videos from a friend I made on a support group April 2021. I got better last year, after Covid attacked me and while I was healing I listened to your videos your videos calmed me significantly. I was normal for 7 months pregnancy flared it all up again. Just had my baby a few days ago and I’m trying to fight out of this trap again. I’m back listening to your videos and I can relate to everything you say not to do. I have no idea what Covid did to me but I’m here for your help and guidance again. I’ve lost a lot due to my anxiety now fighting for my life back. ❤ Thank you for helping us all.

I had a breakthrough dennis. I have serous health anxiety and the other day i was walking outside with symptoms of anxiousness in my limbs and teetering on the edge of panic.....Then all the sudden i said "Im fed up" i started sprinting......I have been scared of exercise for so long......When i was done i felt the endorphins flowing through my body and i realized......"My symptoms are gone" My body was fine and i felt amazing.....I got a boost of confidence and was excited.....I have used that as my first step to healing.....I now exercise daily since then and havnt had a panic attack....The thoughts are still there and im working on them, BUT progress is progress and its all thanks to you. I am in the middle of "F coping start healing" and listening to your podcasts on spotify and it is doing alot for me. Dennis thank you so much. You started my journey and you are one of the ONLY anxiety youtubers and writers that ACTUALLY CARE these days.

Great video Dennis. How to reframe the sudden unexpected passing of a young family member. Do we imagine it did not happen at all ? Or that the person recovered and is still around when they are not? How to reframe the pain of the entire family left broken and the self left frozen in time.

What's helped me personally is walking for short distances in Nature and being gentle with myself in all aspects of my daily life. Be like a kid again play and don't put so much judgment on people or things I hope you find your way to being normal again it takes time...

Do you think it's normal that while slowly getting off DPDR, physical symptoms have become worse? When I first got in 2019, the first few months were truly awful but somehow I had no physical symptoms that could stop me from doing something. So I did a lot of nice things while DPDR was with me in the back of my mind. I had good times where I considered myself almost recovered and of course really bad times but it has never gone away fully. That's how it has been until now but lately after a really stressful period in my life I have a lot of physical symptoms like dizziness, feeling weak and faint etc. Do you think it's one of those up and downs of anxiety? Do you think I'm slowly getting out of it because at the beginning I couldn't feel anything, at least now I feel some negative emotions like anxiety and fear. Maybe the good emotions will come as well.

Yes, the increase in physical symptoms you're describing could indeed be part of the ups and downs of anxiety. Stressful periods in life can trigger a resurgence of symptoms, especially when the body is under duress. It's not uncommon for physical sensations such as dizziness, weakness, and faintness to arise in response to anxiety. However, this might also be a positive sign that you're progressing in your healing journey. The fact that you're now able to feel negative emotions such as anxiety and fear suggests that you're becoming more connected to your internal experiences. This is an important step towards full recovery, as it indicates that your nervous system is recalibrating and reconnecting with your emotions. In time, it's possible that you'll start experiencing positive emotions more frequently as well. Healing from DPDR involves reconnecting with your body and its sensations, including both the challenging and pleasant aspects. It's important to trust the process and give yourself patience and self-compassion as you navigate these changes. If these physical symptoms continue to cause distress or worsen, it may be helpful to reach out to a trauma therapist who specializes in a body-based approach. They can support you in exploring and understanding the underlying causes of these symptoms, as well as provide techniques to manage and minimize them. Remember, healing takes time, and each individual's journey is unique. You're already making progress by acknowledging and working through these experiences. Keep taking care of yourself, and continue to listen to your body as you move forward in your healing process.

Small tip: as someone who has depersonalization that was triggered from being high, it caused an immediate panic attack when you said “think of it as being drunk/high” 🥺 I’m not sure how to reframe the response from that🥺

Than your system has associated all within life as threatening therefore you must find ways to communicate safety to the body. My reframing videos will help along with slowing down your speed in environments where the symptoms are more present.
