In 14 days I will be 50 years old. I have been listening to DM for 30 years. I don't speak English, so I have to put all the songs into the translator. I've never been to a concert either. It's fantastic to see Martin and Dave so refreshingly unprepared, in a positive way: spontanious, honest, humble, just being themselves, just being the same old lovely lads. I remember a time when people got annoyed by the fact that the Stones are refusing to retire - but in a time like this, when great music is really vanishing, I'd like to see my heroes go on forever! You belong to a really small group of last heroes. I am wising you all the health and energy to stay with us for a long time!

Мне 11 лет. Почти 4 утра. Хочется чего-то электронного, компьютерного, свежего. И тут взрыв. Вот она встреча. Я увидел Depeche Mode. Потом были попытки найти записи. Купить официально просто невозможно в центре Сибири. Все что есть у мальчишки - лишь название группы на тетрадном листе разноцветными ручками и ожидание следующего Нового года, а вдруг покажут! Эта музыка всегда спасала, когда было одиноко и даже , когда было страшно. Спасибо вам, что вы были со мной, остаетесь и будете. The year 1988 has come. It's New Year's Eve outside, the temperature is -30, gifts have been received, tangerines are almost eaten. I want to sleep. But how do you want to see what people are listening to in the West on TV? I'm 11 years old. It's almost 4 in the morning. I want something electronic, computer, fresh. And then the explosion. Here is the meeting. I saw Depeche Mode. Then there were attempts to find records. It is simply impossible to buy officially in the center of Siberia. All that the boy has is just the name of the group on a notebook sheet with colorful pens and waiting for the next New Year, and suddenly they will show! I am 50 years old and I am huge, HUGE DM fan and was lucky to see them in concert five times during my teen HS years, and listened to their albums and cassette tapes. THE greatest British New Wave band ever! DM is legendary. RIP Fletch 💗

Greatest band of all time. That will always be my opinion. I've never heard music better than that of Depeche Mode in my entire life and confident that I never ever will. Creativity at it's finest right here. Also had no idea Andy passed.... RIP you legend. We continue to blast your music on a daily basis.

@filmfan9793 the cure will never be on the same level. Their live performances are horrible. I like the cure but will never think they are on the same level. Not even on the same level as The Smiths. Robert Smith just yells into the mic. I actually walked out of the first Cure concert I went to very disappointed. Have never wanted to go see them again. I have been to 6 DM concerts and the sound is perfect, performance is on point, and the music will never disappoint. They are truly delivering the whole package to the fans.

Thank you for returning and continuing, despite all the tragic events within DM and in the outside world. For all the fans, who live and who didn’t make it to this day. It’s very sad that you won’t come to my country this time, but I understand that it’s impossible right now. We love you very much and we’re waiting impatiently for Memento Mori. All the fans in the normal world - enjoy all of it not only for yourselves, but for us too. With love and gratitude from Russia

I have to say that of all the bands I’ve seen live , Depeche Mode were the greatest . The energy coming off the stage was incredible. They work so hard, and God knows how Dave Gahan keeps that up night after night. A truly amazing band , who give every single fan in the audience their money’s worth and much more. Legendary indeed.

RIP Andy... But the "show" must goes on... Long life to DP! Thank you Dave & Martin to continue the adventure, the story...

I love seeing all the vintage equipment in Martin's studio! Something Dave said there really struck a cord with me, how songs effect differently depending on where you are in life...songs that helped me get through things (there's so much understanding there in some) can also be songs that I just enjoy listening to. It's such a shame that they've never come here to Australia since the 90s, but I was so lucky to see them then.

Dear Depeche Mode, People Are People live. That song needs to recirculate in this current era.

I am so happy to see they are carrying on! Depeche has been my favorite band since....what seems like forever. They transition and change so well -- they have been a significant mouthpiece for things I may be experiencing or feeling. I see some of their earliest videos and think "we were all such kids back then", but deep down, we are still the same. Same hopes, fears, a sense of belonging. Depeche Mode makes you feel like you're a member of some special group of outsiders that works because we operate on more extreme wavelengths. God bless you guys!! And RIP, Fletch. For being the "quiet one", you made such a statement. You'll always be with us in spirit. 🤗🥰❤

THE MAIN THINGS FROM THE PRESS CONFERENCE (Taken from the “Depeche Mode Channel” in Telegram) 1) Fletch will not be replaced, there is no reason for this - Gahan 2) The album title is not related to Fletch, it was invented before his death, like all the songs 3) The loss of Fletch was very hard for us - Gore 4) Gore wrote the most songs again 5) Fletch's death brought me (Martin) and Dave closer together 6) The recording of the album began in July and is still not finished 7) Dave and Martin are working with Peter and Christian, but they will NOT BECOME part of the band 8) Alan Wilder is also not returning 9) The band will remember Fletch during concerts. 10) The tour will take place from March 23 to the end of August, will begin in North America, California 11) The band is not going to come to Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus yet. 12) Everything we do and see is different in our eyes after the death of Fletch - Gore 13) All the work is carried out in Martin's studio in Santa Barbara and in Rick Rubin's studio 14) The album will be released before the end of March 2023 (it is quite possible that this will happen on the day of the first concert, that is, March 23) 15) The producer is James Ford again 16) The design of the new era of Depeche Mode will again be developed by Anton Corbijn

Never been much of a fan of Depeche Mode. I remember New Life and it never got me...Partner loves them. So out of kindness took her to watch them on Wednesday and prepped myself by downloading setlist.. Now realise I have been wrong the past 40 odd years. The music is simply out of this world and the concert on Wednesday was as good (probably better) than any I recall being at..The musicianship, songs, showmanship first class. To add Happy Birthday (Charlie!) shows what a thoroughly nice bunch they are too. Brilliant.

I am listening to “Enjoy the silence” on a daily basis lately. I was just a boy when that song came out, I am now 37 years old and I really relate to the lyrics now. When I was 6 years old or something, I just thought it was some weird guy walking around by himself. Now I actually understand what the song is about and it’s one of my all time favorites.

I'm so sad I never got to see the whole group, the times that they were playing here was always when I was broke. They've been my favorite band for 38 years. Maybe someday I'll get to see these guys perform. The words are like a religion, whenever you are confused or sad, you can find a song of theirs to make sense of it

Saw them twice live. For Songs of Faith and Devotion and again for Playing the Angel. Both times I went, it was like they picked the playlist just for me. It was so perfect. Depeche is amazing no matter whether live or in the studio.
