The guitar gives huge Playing The Angel vibes

The album version is also very good. For me this has always been the best song of Delta Machine.

Yeah, I like the OG as well.. it's not a synthpop song it's a techno song. Kraftwerk inspired aong.

The chorus is so cool in this version. With the majority of demos usually sung by Martin, it really changes things up. Love live DM!

In My opinion this version is better the the final version on the album. And it's faster and I prefer faster songs than slower ones😊

Listen to the early demo of Broken. That version is also better than the album version. I think they were going for a minimal approach for the song on Delta Machine.

What's happened ? Martin is a bad arranger. Without Alan Wilder, they began to sound bad. Martin only knows how to make depressing tracks

They made it sould like a proper DM song in studio. Martin never focused on sound construction in demos, only melodic cues and basic arrangement for later production. Yes, they got way more complicated than that Yamaha toy-FMkeyboard he used in 90s for everything, but it has never meant to become a final version.

Because it didn't follow the direction of the album which was Blues with Machines which is why it was called Delta Machine, so unfortunately the songs had to be changed with one completely with Secret to Secret to the End

100%, the producers were pretty bad

complete another Song...

Definitely the producers on their last albums since Exciter destroyed the demos, instead of improving them

Prefer the album version

I don't get the hate for this song. Sure, not the sound like BC or violator, but you can't just sound the same for over 40 years.
