The best Depeche Mode Song ever. I dont know why DM dont like this song. Excellent composition. BIG ART! This bridge is so wunderfull. This Sounddesign - amazing. Brilliant. Genius. This song has more intelligence in it then maybe 60% of all synth pop songs together. Genius.

My guess is that the band don’t like it because it was saved in the mix. Compare Joseph Watt’s “Emotion Mix”-which is little more than throwing up the faders and pressing “Play”-with Gareth Jones’ extended mix and “Slow Mix,” which are much more interesting.

This extended version is still one of my favourite DM tracks ever; especially love the part from 5:09, that galoping slap bass with all the elements added one by one. Bought all the 12'' back then

This was the song that made me fall in love with DM ❤️ In that period all my friends were Duran/Spands fans, they considered me strange 😂 DM changed my life totally ❤️
