Never had the luck with injuries but still managed to make some great contributions in red. Wish him all the best.

As someone who fell in love with rugby watching the French teams of the 80s and 90’s, I’ve been a massive fan of Joey even before he Joined us. His spatial awareness is world class and often under appreciated. The try against Gloucester in Thomond is a perfect example. He was able to keep both defenders interested and neither to commit until it was too late. He picked the perfect line at the perfect pace. I also love the try he created for Jack Conan for Leinster Vs Wasps in the Aviva. Where he manipulated Launchbury into tracking him infield. The second he had him where he wanted him he sprung the trap. Best of luck Joey!

So unfortunate with injuries - Could & should have been a Munster great & would have impacted on Ireland - The very best to him for the future ☘️

Leinster fan and fully agree. Always thought that he was the most talented overall player in the Ireland squad, but less talented players were better options at 10 and 15.

I understand he needs to move with Jack in the driver's seat, but I'm still sad to see him leave. A very classy player who got dealt a bad hand for a couple of years. Very best of luck for the rest of your career Joey.

Biggest mistake Munster ever made is letting Carberry go. Hopefully he will be back to either leinster or Ulster when his contract expires in France.

To be fair, it's far from the biggest mistake. It's still a pity to lose natural talent. But I see it from his point, he's behind Crowley and probably wants a new start after his injury profile these last few years.

He glided like a Gazelle. Billy Burns will improve under Rowntree or simply disappear.
