At the beginning of the film they had the one guy in the firm seeing spots resembling lesions on his face. The next act features a case including paperwork that mysteriously disappears for almost 24 hours, only to come back up in the last hour unexplained miraculously. Beckett was an exceptional lawyer which is why they promoted him. So why would they fire him so suddenly for an unexplained mistake after seemingly getting along with all of the partners so well in addition to his skill? This clip also hints fairly strongly at this being the reason with the partner stating that “Andy kept bending the rules” referring to the “OLD and new Testament”: old almost certainly referring to Leviticus, where there is a passage stating a man shall not lie with another man. Also, a senior lawyer quoting the Bible as the rule book on the law? Filled with contradictions

He knew what Denziel was trying to get at and allowed him to do so. The judge was aware of what probably needed to happen in this lawsuit and wasn't going to hamstring the plaintiff for decorum sake. Good judges are like that, they know and realize when an attorney is going down a path asking particular questions and allow things that normally wouldn't be allowed, and know when to reign in attorneys that ramble and do nothing but commit character assassination. Unfortunately, the latter is running rampant in the US justice system since judges allow DAs to get convictions on character assassination alone instead of presenting a case of the crime committed.

Dear Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, and so many more in this film show what a art acting is and these masters of this art really show that you are just a amusing guy with an Oscar, your claim is that you unintentionally showed the world that the academy has lossed its way and is just a party

The way they portrayed hiv/aids in those days was so extra. You'd think that a person could get it just by looking or touching. And it is such a manageable desease nowadays. People live full life

But even still the entire time you can tell she’s talking through her teeth. There’s an uneasy and uncomfortable feeling when she talks and at first you think it’s just cause she’s being this annoying bitchy character, but when she mutters “I hate this case” you realize it’s just cause she at no point in this trial believes what she’s saying, she just has no choice but to say itb

*Joe Miller puts Andrew Beckett on the stand.* Never forget, the actors are not the characters. We can have great actors who happen to be good people playing also good characters, but you can also have great actors who are awful people playing good characters, and, most usually, great actors who are good people playing awful characters. On occasion, you have great actors who are awful people playing awful characters. Separate the person from the profession. You'll be sometimes most amazed at how great some actors are, and most of the time you'll save yourselves from disappointments. Most actors, even great ones, are just regular people.
