Haha, I loved living in Denver; I lived there in the early to mid 2000s off of S. Federal. I used to enjoy 16th Street Mall & Red Rocks; but Denver had a gang problem when I lived out there.

You’re not kidding at all, most of the no tell motels are all but nonexistent especially from Colfax and Jasmine to Colfax and Chambers.
In answer to your question. Yes Colfax is the longest street in the United States. I'm originally from Denver. I now live in Tulsa Oklahoma because I couldn't afford to live in denver any longer. The capitol building is made out of Gold on the top.

I’m late to the party, so I apologize. Colfax is the longest continuous commercial street in the US…not the longest street. There are far longer streets all over, they just aren’t classified as commercial streets. Also the dome of the capitol building is covered in gold leaf. The whole dome isn’t gold.

Every city has hoods, some are just more run down than others.
Most of Denver was gentrified, Park Hill is where the Bloods originated in the city and the Eastside was where the Crips originated but they pushed most of the blacks out towards Montbello, Aurora, Green Valley, and the Westside. But you should have gone up Colfax and Aurora is way bigger than that. You gotta go by the Aurora mall

I grew up in Park Hill, and Aurora 35th&Olive grew up on Colorado Blvd grew up on iliff and chambers grew up on Mississippi and Sable. I love my home, but depending on who you associate with will determine how good your life will turn out, so stay away from trashy people, and that lame ass gang element, and you'll be just fine.
