Everything was correct, except for the paper side up, refer to manufacture instructions of the M11/M9 , paper side down, according to Mid Mark.

The blue enzymatic cleaner in the ultrasonic helps with lifting the human bits left on the instrument after a bloody procedures. Since blood can get into the hinges and hard to clean areas, the them being submerged in the ultrasonic greatly helps with preparing them for the autoclave. Just be sure to rinse them off after they are done being shaken.

To clean the autoclave, there is a special cleaner for the water tank and tubes inside that removes debris. For the inside of the chamber you pull out all the racks and scrub them down with whatever cleaner, just be sure to wash it all off after. Cleaning typically happens once a month or depending on how much use has happened.

As in like not using utility gloves, or as in going from pre cleaning ultrasonic to prepackaging.

@@DentalThings I know, but acoording to CDC, that can cause cross contamination. As blood-borne pathogens can form on the instruments and they could become unclean CDC also says all organic matter must be remove from the instrument before High Level Sterilization. Good Video and did help, just remeber to swtich gloves.

The Manufacturers Instructions for Use for the MidMark M11 Sterilizer specifically states the correct way to load pouches is paper side down. It is not advisable to deviate from their directions regardless of the "we’ve always done it this way”. If a inspection authority saw this they would fail you.

That is true that certain machines state paper up or down. That's why it's open for debate because there is not just one system that rules them all.

Would you not agree that steam rises? Properly sealed pouches will expand with the steam going through the paper inflating the pouch. When they dry the water will absorb through the paper. Would you dry your lunch dishes by putting them on a piece of Saran wrap or a paper towel🤷‍♀️Let’s forget we’ve always done it this way and read the Midmark directions or hey! Common sense may even prevail😊

I wouldn't trust your VISUAL INSPIRATION!!!🙄NO WAY!!! Why didn't you whipe the other 2 instrunts, or brush/wash them all first??? I'm sure there are micro-debris on them 🙄👀🦷 Are you just " sterilizing" the instruments AND the micro- debris ??!😳🤓👎
