Hamlin went a little early, but he knew Nascar is not consistent with their calls. He was proved right. This is on Nascar, not Hamlin.

He jumped, even Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder would have saw it. However, he played the game, good on him. No quams just obvious 😂😂

I don't have an issue since they aren't doing anything about the guys who lay back to get the extra jump on the lead car.

Kevin is excellent in his new role as a commentator for NASCAR. Really enjoy his interviews. It’s also nice having someone in the booth who actually knows what they’re talking about. Cliff only thinks he knows what he’s talking about and does not, which makes him so annoying.

Loved Kevin as a driver but he is diffinately a great announcer. Doing a super job.

Much better show. No one acting like a mascot. Thank you.

It’s very simple…. Denny should have gotten a seconds penalty after the race exactly like they did to SVG in xfinity at cota. Stop trying to act like this is harder than it is.

Kevin, THEY HAVE a line on the track, and THEY HAVE the telemetry of every car in real-time. The final restart ABSOLUTELY HAS TO be called for a jump, BECAUSE a jump wins the race by cheating if you don't call it.

Kyle Larson is a fantastic driver and has the attitude of a champion.

Yep, the race would have been more interesting if they left it up to the teams as to when to change tires from wets to slicks.

They said something about they didn't have the wipers on the broadcast. So why not just have the wiper motors standard on any track that rain tires are an option and put the arms on just like the tires when the situation dictates

Nascar should go back to restarts the way they should be. Single file. No more issues. Either that, or police the whole thing. Jump the start, get parked. Lay back to get a run, like Logano did, get parked. Don't line up side by side, like Martin laying back a little, get parked. After the first time, everybody will line up correctly and the games will stop.

If we're going to be nitpicky on rules, better be also calling out the laying back from Martin and row 2, which Joey used to his advantage. Where does it end? Where do those lines stand Kevin? No, I'm not a Hamlin fan either.

Watched that restart from every angle, in real-time and slo-mo. NOBODY was laying back. Truex was never more than two feet back from Hamlin on the outside, and Lagano the same behind him. Still, it doesn't matter WHAT everybody else did, Denny left early and had almost 3/4 car on Truex before the zone line, you could see it from every track and in-car camera, plus NASCAR has real-time SMT data on every car, they knew he jumped and did nothing.

@shelleyking8450 All are in the wrong but guessing it's going to be corrected. Might, a stretch for 2 feet, but definitely more on 2nd row for Joey, cmon now. Everybody supposed to be buttoned up close, same speed.... This is Nascar, they are fighting for inches to gain since cars/tires all the same.

NASCAR needs to get there stuff together and stop throwing fantom cautions. Nothing was in the track a car didn’t spin. Hamlin may have jumped but why there wasn’t a call no one knows.

Listen to the #19 radio from COTA. I've never listened to any driver's radio other than KH for over 20 years, but I happened to be listening to MTJ at COTA. There obviously is some internal frustration over at JGR. MTJ literally yelled, "Find another driver." I don't know if he meant that about himself, but it sure seemed like it in the context of the banter.

Denny ABSOLUTELY JUMPED, and NASCAR KNEW IT in real-time. They should have called off the restart, ESPECIALLY because a jump on the overtime restart determines the winner. BTW, they have done it before at ALL POINTS of races, and penalized the driver that jumped. Consistently inconsistent, as usual.

I think they need to start penalizing guys for laying back to get the extra run if you are gonna say the restart line is a hard line for the lead car.

It's funny reading all the comments about how Denny jumped the restart then hearing him on Dirty Mo Media saying "Yeah I jumped the restart because of [reason], let's move on". Lmao. Not really a Hamlin fan either. I just find it funny.

So you guys want to put a cap on how many times you pick a driver in the season? Here's something that my grandfather and I do, you are allowed to pick a driver 2 times for the whole season but if you pick the winner then you are allowed to pick that driver 1 extra time. It forces you to think hard about certain drivers at their better tracks and sometimes you can gamble on a driver because they are on a hot streak as of late. I hope this helps you guys find a way to pick drivers every week!

To Kevin's point about going early, they would be unfair to Denny calling him early if they did not call Martin for not being even with Denny coming to the line.

100% Denise Hamlin gets away with something yet AGAIN! How much more obvious does it have to be??? IT WAS "BLATANT" and NUTSCAR has no balls to control him. The fan boys/apologists in the replies are just slopping up the Nutscar BS as usual.

So tired of Denny getting away with BS on the track.

Restart was fine, yellow for the 8, very questionable. NASCAR has plausible deniability with these yellows.
