I do not support the burning of books, but if you relate book burning to hurting people that choice is simple. If a person cannot regulate his och her feelings and gives them away with violence I think they should have a lesson of self regulation. I mean burn books in the purpose to show that violence towards humans never can be justified because someone takes on the role of a victim of emotion. If some-one burnes their own property, so what? If it is torture looking at, go and smell the flowers or something. (Or argue, express your freedom of thought and expression, if you can control yourself) By the way, I don't know anything about Bakhtiyar Khilji in Nalanda, my point is just to compare things (regardless of being carrier of thought) and humans (and animals to for what that matters; living creatures who has a life and can experience emotions pain and so on) @Tenzing Lungen

The odd part about this is that he is not really doing anything wrong according to the law. We do have freedom of speech here in Denmark, so you are allowed to burn whatever book you want as long as you do not physically harm people by doing so. I do not agree with Mr. Paludan,'s views and think his provocations are way too extreme, but according to law he is allowed to make them. And of course, the law is above everything else. That means banning his demonstrations is actually against the law, whether we like it or not.

In Denmark there is nothing law saying you can’t burn religion books like the Bible or the Quran, so he isn’t doing anything against the law. If someone burned the Bible, I don’t think the same reactions would happen as what is currently happening in my country Denmark when the Quran is getting burned.

Well... He's the product of the former "most racist"-party not doing their job. Danes aren't racists as such... But a lot of Danes are tired of Middle Eastern people refusing to integrate, because our culture apparently is completely unacceptable to them, and then living off of benefits. There's PLENTY of Muslims in Denmark who've been great additions to the country. But when over half of the immigrant women refuse to work, for whatever reason, people start getting annoyed. The Danish mentality is very much based on eeeverryone doing their part as much as possible... Then living off benefits, because your religion says you're not allowed to work (Or whatever)... That's just not gonna fly. And sadly that's gonna end up hurting everyone from the same background. Hell... If half of our Swedish or German immigrants did the same, it would be the same problem. With that said, I don't support this guy whatsoever. He wants every single Muslim out of the country. That's just not right. He's the Danish version of Trump. A complete nutjob. But I do believe Denmark needs to be tougher on immigrants who just wanna free ride our system. No matter what country and religion they're from.

Danish person here. Rasmus Paludan has openly advocated for opening concentration camps in Greenland where he is willing to send hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Even though people with foreign background are over represented in crime statistics (for a verity of reasons, least of all religion) the vast majority of them are law abiding citizens. Conservatives also ignore the progress that has been made on integration, Danes with a foreign background now work and study a lot more than they used to. A lot of these people he wants to "send back" literally cant go back because the governments of their countries (or their parents countries in many cases) wont accept them. These people will ultimately be sent to camps in Greenland, a country occupied by Denmark for hundreds of years, according to Paludans opinion. This could very well spark a civil war, or a Venezuela type situation at the very least, if his party ever becomes big enough to influence policy in that direction. People have the right to vote for him but please don't pretend he's a regular guy, he has ethnocentric policies rooted in the 1930s-40s with the rhetoric to back it up. The Danish left wing has no opposite extreme equivalent to Paludan in terms of eligible candidates, the right wing in Denmark and around the world is completely out of control. Right leaning people everywhere who aren't insane must stand firm and acknowledge that the political spectrum cant move further to the right infinitely, its dangerous.

Stupid comment. Those countries have to take them back because that is their ethnic homeland. The precedent has already been set. Ghadaffi kicked out all the second generation immigrants from Libya and Italy took them back. Same with the Ethnic Greek Egyptians that Nasser kicked out of Egypt. Muslim countries have a very long history of kicking non Muslim immigrants out of their countries.

Iraq doesn't take back refugees from Denmark for the same bigoted reasons our nationalists wanna get rid of them. A lot of these countries aren't letting people back in and they are in our country because we are more humanitarian and proud of it. I also think its weird that you think we should emulate Ghadaffi and his policies. Btw most of these countries are western alies, so if you wanna blame anyone for empowering the leaders that don't take back refugees and creating crisis situations that necessitate emigration from the third world then blame the west.

There are just as many failed states in the Third World that the West has not interfered with. People are going crazy, never exist even once in my mind to burn other religious holy books (like bible, etc) and say it's just an act of freedom. Once I got to see a holy book from my Hindu friend, and I asked something about reincarnation, and how it works actually. She told me about it in detail and it actually amazed me and it makes sense and I respect her. Have you ever heard of "finding peace in diversity by respecting others"? I guess you haven't heard this from your mom, now is time to learn that. I believe whatever your religion is, or even if you're an atheist, I don't think disrespectful acts like this should be called freedom of speech.
