Denean - To the Children (Piano Solo)
"To the Children" is a lovely new-age piano piece from Denean's 1993 album "The Weaving". This is a pure piano version, without the ethereal vocals, mysterious bells, and other instruments and sounds creating the beautiful new-age background in the original song.
It is one of the few relaxing pieces in my repertoire and, therefore, I like to play it when I feel lethargic, unless I skip the piano altogether on such a day. I rarely feel that way though, so I don't play the piece all that often. It's my mom's long-time favorite, however, and she never seems to get enough of it. Hence, it is the most requested piece whenever I'm at my parent's place. :) Simple though it is, there is something magical about "To the Children". So just sit back, relax and take in the heavenly beauty.

Looks like you are the only person who can clarify a question I have. I have found many people saying that this song belongs to different composers, and even found the same song with a different title, I will give you some examples: 1. Composer : Denean - "To the Children" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHaqo8RwqceWpbA.html 2. Composer : ERA - "Flowers of the sea". - kzread.info/dash/bejne/eqGo16lvgrHdeqw.html 3. Composer: Keiko Matsui - "Flowers of the sea" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6xkzMV7iaevg7A.html I am really confused who originally belongs this song. Thanks in advance if you can clarify.

I'll be happy to answer your question, and hopefully solve this mystery once and for all! As I said in my reply to an earlier comment, I don't know where the misinformation comes from, but the piece is originally composed by Denean and the name is "To the Children". I am familiar with the entire discography of both Denean and ERA, and I can say that it certainly does not match the music style of ERA, whereas Denean even has a couple more similar songs. Not to mention that "To the Children" appears on Denean's album "The Weaving" from 1993, which was still several years before the project ERA was even created. As for Keiko Matsui, I have only listened to a few of her songs, but she also appears to be composing a different type of new-age music. Finally, you can find additional reassurance in KZread's automatic music matching, which labeled (below the video caption) the music in all of the three videos you referenced as "Denean - To the Children" along with the corresponding license. To wrap up, I would suggest, if you enjoy this piece, to go and listen to more of Denean's music, such as the albums "The Weaving" and "Breath of Angels". You might discover more songs of hers that you like, plus you will realize that "To the Children" is, without a doubt, her composition. :) I hope my explanation cleared up your confusion!

For some reason, this song is very often mistakingly attributed to Era or Keiko Matsui under the name "Flowers of the Sea". The original is, however, composed by Denean and called "To the Children" (released on the 1993 album "The Weaving").
