“Mother Earth Song” (originally titled "As One") is from Denean's Fire Prayer album. It a song written and performed by the artist. It is still titled “As One” on the album, but since more of you have been searching for it under the title “Mother Earth Song”, Denean decided to include that name here. It seems Denean’s fans have adopted that title :-)

The first time I heard this song was at the Southeastern Unitarian Universalist women's conference that I attended on my 21st birthday. Somehow, I knew these words and sang along with tears pouring down my face. I bought the tape that weekend and sang my new daughter to sleep every night with these songs -- she just turned 30 this year, making me 50. I've carried this music with me ever since. Thank you for this gift. 🥰❤🥰

Denean, is there a vinyl of this whole album and if so where could I acquire one? My grandmother would play this whole album for me every night I'm 26 now and still listen to this when I go to bed every now and then and its just the most beautiful piece of modern artwork to me thank you for composing this ❤

Totally agree. I later changed the lyric to “heal with her” but no way to change it on the original recording. Blessings 🙏💕
Earth-Mother. With the Indigenous First Nations language direction is a primary concern. Earth-Mother is the Earth our Mother who birthed and nurtures us. Mother earth would indicate that you buried your mother in the earth.
