They do more than harbor freight. HF has been moving painfully slow when it comes to releasing icon tools. They are missing a ton of professional essential tools in their line up currently

I have a few vim tool sets. I sure like em. And like they foam trays they come in. Fits nicely in tool chests and looks nice also.

After I saw your title, I went and watched his video; it was very complimentary, besides paying $10 for a warranty. Not sure why that's so bad.

I watched The Den of Tools video on VIM Tools. I also watched VIM Tools response video to Jeff's video. Luis and Michael's response video in my opinion was favorable to Jeff's video. Also, Jeff didn't bash VIM in his video. The worst he did was question the $10 warranty fee, which the VIM guys explained in their response video. This seems like a lot of drama over...well...nothing.

Im glad to see tools being sold in different colors as im getting older I just can't see them in darker places like floor boards in poorly lit garages I started having this problem in the 80s

VIM makes tools in the same way Harbor Freight makes tools... they don't own factories. They may work up their own designs but they don't make jack. They are just another middleman. You could go and find any of those VIM products yourself and slap JDTCo on it instead.

@@WoofWoofWaffles They do have a few patents so there is some limited design happening in-house at HF. As for "IP ripoffs." The PliersWrench was patented in 1994. Knipex had their 20 years of exclusive profit, the patent has been dead for a decade now. Wasn't even a new concept then, the Winner Tool Co made a pair of pliers similar to that complete with the cam lobe in the 1920s.

People hate on harbor freight, but you can get a few things there now that you see on tool trucks. that being said I got my first vim tools 15 years ago still using them.

I just picked up a Vim HBR5 1/4" mini ratchet off eBay for $20. Great little tool that I bought for a specific job, changing the transmission pan on a Ram truck.

Bears video and Vims response was cordial and informative. Nothing about either one was crazy. SMH

Back in the days prior to small engines being electronic ignition and overhead valve all the special tools a dealer need from Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Wisconsin, Tecumseh, West Bend were made for them by VIM.

You lied about my video, lied about my 15 years in the trades, lied about me hiding (live stream every Sunday with the wife and kids baby). If you had wanted me to do a video on your company to help drive sales, all you had to do was ask I’ve been supporting small businesses since my beginning on KZread but starting fake drama hoping I’ll do a video in return? That’s just sad. My video showed Viewers, who had not heard of VIM that they are 1. Establish 2. American based 3. Family owned and that they produce solid tools. Which is probably why VIM contacted me and thanked me for my video. Probably also why they did a response video that said the same. You owe the entire KZread community an apology for a BS stunt like this.

How can you hate on VIM?! I have several VIM tools and they hold up as well as my Snap-On/Mac/Matco stuff! I was actually just using my WE15 extender a few days ago and it works fantastic. VIM are a company that likes to innovate and give us wrench monkeys the tools we actually want!

Like it or not there is an audience for tool related reviews. I am not biased I watch most of the reviewers on YT. If they are able to make content into a career who are we to judge them. But the internet is a very unforgiving place and I wouldn’t honestly blame Jeff if he takes the video down.

You seem to know a lot about his history as a bear for someone you claim to not like. It’s impossible that you even watched the video beyond the first few minutes bc he reviewed them favorably. As far as the coming out of nowhere - I can attest that I hadnt heard of vim until recently - seems like a social media campaign or marketing manager did them well. Based on their presentation of the tools and youtube vids i was immediately intrigued and started reseraching to discover that "hey i like what i see".

Nick, I have not commented in awhile but you might remember I am the guy that loves tool drama. I stopped interacting in your videos because I felt you were not exposing bad companies enough. I always asked you to bad mouth Power Probe and others that are no good. I really liked the way you attacked Den of Tools. In this case though, I actually don't think he did not anything wrong in his video. In fact, I have looked up all the exact same stuff he did about a year ago including the picture of Mr. Lopez. He didn't really say anything wrong about VIM tools either. His video didn't tell me anything I didn't know but I think it will help others to see VIM is fine to deal with. The $10 return thing he was crying about was the only thing that bothered me. A fee like that will stop frivolous warranty returns which can break a business. I do agree that he is a Home Depot / Harbor Freight guy but I don't see anything wrong with him looking in to VIM tools if it will stop people from buying Harbor Freight stuff. When you mention someone like you did in this video, I wish you would also mention their youtube channel because some of the people you were attacking I was not familiar with. Nice to see the old Nick is back on the attack mode. This is the type of tool drama I love!

The anger, in this case, as in almost all case studies involving someone from the "Dirty Jerz" stems from living in a state known far and wide as the armpit of america. That's gotta be demoralizing. And if that wasn't enough you got Chris Christie as your spokesmen.

Don't know what video you watched, but Den of Tools never said anything bad about VIM tools. He just questioned the 10 dollar warranty. I buy American made shoes, socks, underwear, audio amplifiers, knives, guns, cars, dinnerware, tool boxes, and tools. If it's available made in USA, then I buy it made in USA. And my phone was made in Japan if you must know. My computer was assembled in USA with global materials.
