Chinese New Year in The Hague is always a fantastic experience. While the Chinese New Year in China lasts for fifteen days, it is also celebrated with great enthusiasm outside China. After earlier celebrations in cities like Antwerp and Rotterdam this year, I looked forward to experiencing the festivities in The Hague. As the cherry on top, on February 24, 2024, the final day of the celebration, I found myself in The Hague, the beautiful city behind the dunes. The festivities took place both at the Spui City Hall and in the vibrant Chinatown. What made this celebration extra special was that it took place in Chinatown for the first time in three years.
