They used to have these sorts of trucks here in Florida but now we have gone to single stream recycling. (We start automatic pickup October 1st.)

epic video! good to see this beast still in operation! and a video full of a recycle truck doing carts is beyond sick! and that commercial truck was full!!! is commercial recycling single stream or ? I love the bell ringing haha. sick you cough the truck lifting and then two trucks dumping! flat out awesome man! loved how you caught the glass dump as well. again this was beyond ridiculously awesome man! Like and favorite for sure!

Both Shane and I have brief footage of the WhiteGMC Recycle One, I might be able to get more footage of it, but I don't know it's routes very well, nor do I know the guy who drives it very well. The guy driving it in this video was a substitute who used to be my garbage driver, and the guy driving it in the brief video me and Shane got was a substitute driver as well. I also have a couple videos of the spare WhiteGMC Recycle One collecting on my street from about a year or so ago

Ok, heres what I don't understand; we have to separate our recycling items (glass and plastic, paper and so on) into bins. Small 'totes' if you will and not these huge things with wheels that you leave on the curb. The workers change from week to week. One guy says that it really doesn't matter what bin you put things in as "it all goes to the same place" and another guy on another week starts organizing the stuff I throw in there. Whats the deal with this?

Thanks! I believe this truck is a '95, though the body may be older. They've done a lot of chassis swapping with these old recycle trucks.

My goodness.. Has waste management never heard of a GREASE GUN????? I watch these videos and this is not the first one where I have heard the loader screaching for the lack of GREASE!!!!!

Yessir, there is a divider inside the truck that keeps the two chambers separate. When the truck is dumped, the rear chamber, for glass in this case, empties first. The driver can then unlock the divider from inside the cab. The divider is hinged at the top, just like the rear gate of the truck. When it is unlocked, it swings open, allowing the front chamber to empty! I hope this explanation makes sense!

when it was raising the body and dumping glass and i hear it falling and i dont see anything coming out. so its almost like its not dumping anyting out.
