About 50 years ago I contacted a rabbi about becoming a Jew because I had read about it, and it seemed closer to what I believed than Catholicism did, which is how I was raised. The rabbi told me I couldn't become Jewish unless I had a Jewish mother. I took him at his word. I wandered in a spiritual desert until I was 40 when I learned about Islam. I became Muslim a little over 30 years ago. I'm in my 70s now. It's so nice to see that you pray much like we do. Allah guides whom He Will. Thank you again.

Freethought because the truth is simply the truth. If the jews were doing things right (unlike christians) then we dont have to oppose the truth. Why so obsessed with jews you say ? Because there were jews in madina and most prophets were jews the quran tells us their story. Why moses was mentioned alot simply because it was during the time of moses the ten commandments were revealed unlike other ages where such commands did not exist. Islam is not a new religion we muslims believe Islam was the religion of all prophets and we learn from each regardless of their genealogy. You seem to have a lot of hatred towards muslims and Islam. I did not attack your belief system and therefore I hoped people like yourself would show more respect (yes you can ask questions but do that with more respect next time).

So if you believe in the Bible, which definitely has the word of god in it, unfortunately it has been corrupted and changed a lot, then ask yourself who is this prophet, whom god has chosen.

It is written in every book in Tariqat, Injeel, and Psalms that Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the last prophet sent to the world by Allah and we all are part of this world. People whether they are Christians or Jews or belong to any other religion should follow his sayings in today's age and follow the book of the last prophet that Allah sent. As the book was revealed to all the prophets. So the name of this book is Holy Quran. And we all the people of the world should follow it. And when Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) will return to the world, he will also teach again the same book that was revealed to the last prophet. The name of which is Quran. Assalamu Alaykum akhi that’s not a religious issue it’s a political issue where long story short Europe didn’t want the Jews and after World War II the UN decided to put them in Palestine and back them militarily so they can slowly take over Palestine. The Jews needed a place to go so I completely understand but they’ve not only lived under Muslim rule before but also FLOURISHED under it so I’m not sure why they felt the need to accept the UN’s plan and backing to go take land from people that were already there regardless of religion (let’s not forget there’s Palestinian Christians who freely practice Christianity and have churches all over with no issues and the “Israelis” have been attacking them just as much as they have been the Muslim Palestinians) We can’t confuse Zionism with Judaism it’s not the same thing.

I agree, we must come to common terms. Qur'an 3:64 - "Say: 'O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.' If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).'" Muslims, including myself, must at least come to common terms with the People of the Book. If all you do is badmouth the Jews or Christians, then that becomes impossible. Qur'an 49:13 - "O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." (Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation)

I want to thank you for this. I have Jewish family members (Converts) and friends and I’ve never known any of them to actually need to go and pray. It didn’t even occur to me the Jews needed to pray every day. This was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with me.

This was very interesting and I liked that you translated it, even though I also would have loved to hear the Hebrew original, because I love the language! I looked it up because I read a manga(it's called "Message to Adolf" by Osamu Tezuka) and there is a scene were 2 jewish characters are praying in a synagogue. In the German translation the editorial staff added a note which says the depiction is incorrect, it showed a Christian prayer( hands folded in front of the forehead), so I wanted to see how an actual Jewish prayer looks like. I am a non-religious person but there's something calming in hearing a prayer, while you where talking I was sitting reverent in front of my phone and started closing my eyes too. I have chronic headaches but in this time I couldn't feel them. Very nice, I want to learn more about Judaism! Sorry if I made any English mistakes, it's not my first language. In Christianity prayer is throughout the day, but is not a boss to whom we report every day, rather he is a father who delights in his children.

I am unitarian Christian and I love how jews call God Father just like us as a reference to Lifegiver and our Creator. I love God ❤

I'm from Bangladesh. I was so curious about Yahudi prayer and now I'm seeing it's much similar to that of ours in Islam. We all believe in one God(Allah), just by different name. We all accept prophets. Both religion teach us to pray and think of peace. We are actually brothers but some corrupted humans play evil that have made us enemy...which is very wrong.

This is a shame that this is first time in 26 years of my Muslim life I am seeing a Jew praying. So similar yet so different people . This portraits so much positivities towards the Jewish community and their love for one ☝️ true Allah. It's really sad to see so many dislikes, mostly from anti-Semites and some weird Muslim trolls. I'm Muslim but as Muslims we should respect this man, his religion and Christians and Jews. Nonsensical hatred will get us nowhere. As much as I support Palestine, this is not about politics, it's just an everyday, individual and innocent Jewish man showing how he prays because he wants the world to see, which I see no problem with. We worship the same god, we both love the prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and Islam teaches us to be respectful, show kindness and the Qur'an even says "you have your religion, I have mine". We muslim community need to eloborate more what muslim means. The verse stated abraham is a muslim not as Muhammad's follower, muslim means submitted - submit will to God. So abraham is a true muslim. That is all about of being a muslim. Its not a new religion, since adam all prophet are muslim. Abraham ishamel ishaq isa muhammad peace to the them all are all muslim.

yea one time i also ponder this thought. then i saw many old people standing in prayer, that day i realize what mercy from Allah swt that we can be done a lot quicker. its not too long, its not too short, a middle path and no extremism.

You clearly have no idea. A Muslim can make his prayer as long as he wants. The only is exception is an Imam leading people in prayer, he shouldn’t make the prayers too long because people have commitments and physical weaknesses. But when you’re alone you can pray as many extra prayers as you want and you can make a single prayer as long as would want. If you’re a Muslim you should think a million times before saying stupid things like being disappointed with something Allah Himself has commanded.

I feel like Jews understood that communication was key. Being there for each other through horrific times such as the holocaust only made Jews stronger at heart. And their souls grew stronger. Parande Parande1 In Islam yes it is allowed but you'd have to look at the history and why it is permissible for men to marry four woman in islam. I dont know any muslims that have four wives, only one. At the same time people don't become Muslim just because they can marry four wives. A person's heart isn't in the right place, if that's the case.

@deban biswas don’t acknowledge his ignorance. Most Muslims like myself have learned to respect Jews as we share so many similarities (diet, greeting, prayer, history, etc). We consider the Jews our brothers in monotheism as sons of Abraham. Despite some differences we both submit our wills to God acknowledging he is the greatest and most merciful. I wish more of us could acknowledge these similarities
