Really nice guide! Currently "rerolling" a warlock for Ulduar for my guild and this helped me so much. A macro I also like is having /cast Fel Dominance and /cast Summon Felguard on one button.

I went into wrath planning to be affliction the entire expansion. But followed your advice weeks ago to quest as affliction and be demo in dungeons with dual spec. Well.... doing dungeons while leveling then heroics at 80 made me fall in love with demo spec. Those 20k+ soul fire crits are juuuuicy. Not to mention I out dps nearly everything in Heroics except for the occasional boomkin. Thanks Crix for what you do for the Classic community of locks. "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"

Nice guide, thanks. Some questions though: We apply all the dots while meta is running because the %-dmg modifier snapshots, correct? So should we also re-apply the dots before meta runs out (as long as the fight is long enough for the dots to run out) or rather keep spamming shadowbolt in that precious time? Is CoD really snapshoting too? So apply while meta and still get 20% dmg buff a for the dmg calculation one minute later?

Yes that is correct. Assuming you aren't running glyph of meta, if you just do the opener normally and apply dots just after they run out, you will find that you'll be reapplying corruption and immolate just before meta ends to snapshot the buff for longer. This happens literally every pull for me. CoD snapshots, this is the most important spell by far to make sure is pressed during meta and not just outside of it. If you have to elements then do this before meta.

for demo locks how different is 15 spirit on chest over 10 stats? demonic knowledge must make that gap really small right?

with the infernal do you drop it then fel dom the felguard out to just get the drop damage or do you keep the infernal out for the full duration then go felguard?

i go 2/3 an 3/3 sometimes on demonic tactics, because of pet crits being rare when all trinkets have procced

What is the addon /weakaura that is recommending spells b/w the player and enemy unit frames? I cant seem to find any mention of that rotation helper. Is it an addon or part of a weak aura? when I download both panel and buffs this feature doesn't show

What's the more DPS efficient opening rotation? Corruption - immolate - COA Immolate - COA - corruption Immolate - corruption - COA Immolate -COA have the same dot duration as demonology when applied in that order, therefore can be applied in that order every 24 seconds. It's where corruption fits into the rotation. Any advice?

Question about incenerate v shadow bolt. If you had another lock you knew 100% would keep the debuff going and considering how close the dmg is for Shadowbolt and incenerate is would it be worth it to pick up the incenerate glyph over quick decay, skip the imp shadow bolt talent to pick up aftermath and cataclysm?

You should look up the hybrid spec, it's pretty much what you're describing but leans even more in to the destro tree at the cost of demonic pact and meta.

How do you get your combat bars like that at 2:47? I'm assuming it's with bartender but what settings do you use to make it like that?

How does demonic pact work if you have two demo locks in the raid? Cause last night my guild had a new trial lock in the raid and he was also demo spec. With much worse gear than mine I am concerned that he will proc a shitty demonic pact before I can get a powerful one off. Btw my felguards name is "Kowlkrill". Pretty happy with that :)

yo can we get one of these but Affliction? i am doing semi ok damage as affliction on boss fights and i feel like im doing so much wrong, in TBC i slapped and was always 1-2 on the dps meter now im like 4th here 2nd there 8th here and 6th there its all over the place and i just know im not doing something right unless the class is HEAVILY gear dependent then i guess i could see thats how im not doing much. Very late response, but my fel sometimes pulls unwarranted mobs, adds, and messes some strats up in dung/raids. Only reason I ever have had to hold him back. :)

why wouldnt you use corruption or immolate if it wont last on the boss? Its still added damage.

My Felguards name is Zurilshok, i think it's decent, not letting any foes get of the hook!

So it's still necessary to hold the felguard back at the beginning? I thought the buff can be overwritten by a better version after you suddenly have more SP.

you are right, it is overwritten by a higher sp buff, and will last 45 seconds (non-refreshed unless you reach a higher sp) before it falls and will need to be reapplied. with sundial + dying curse + tailoring cloak + prepot you can already give your raid +500sp at the start of the fight for 45 seconds, and usually can infernal for higher dps and the buff will stay with the felguard gone

I see you have a weakaura for trinkets, cloak etc. Can you share it?

Links to Weak Auras? your discord doesn't have the imp shadowbolt one. I also tried making one for when both trinkets proc at the same time and couldn't figure it out. maybe one of your viewers can give it a shot?

i've been using the lock weak aura, and i see it tracks your sundial. mine doesn't seem to track the aura and i cant figure it out. did you have to add the aura or alter it?

what is the WA/Addon that is showing the next ability to use ?

Shaaghun is my Felguard. This isn't really that neat in and of itself, but when a buddy of mine respec'd from affliction a few weeks back we found out that our raid actually has....two Shaaghuns. The chances for that are incredibly low, from what I can tell
