They're blaming yuichiro as if they never saw an anime before. It was very obvious that he was also a kind character. Just to put some flavours to the stories authors do this way.

*18:00* Not every demon slayers can understand him tho. Like the guy at the spider arc got slashed by Mui. Not every demon slayers go through hard work like those Hashira or Tanjiro. They definitely just see him as an arrogant hashira who are born talent without even trying, and don't even try to understand that he has mental illness. He's training like a mad man since he's 11. Do they understand all of that? No.

By that logic we would have police everywhere There's demons all over Japan as you said. You can't have one demon slayer stated in a place when there's a demon killing people at the next villaga unless you have enough slayers to protect every corner in Japan, which i don't think they do
