Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and all the train passengers would be dead without Rengoku. He saved Tanjiro so he could later defeat Muzan. In a way, Rengoku truly did win. ❤️‍🩹

you can see just as much emotion on Akaza during the fight; the way he enjoys the fight so much - because it has been so long since he has been able to enjoy a fight with someone this powerful, his desperation for Rangoku to live and become a demon so they can spar forever, and most of all his fear when the sun starts to comes up.

It was supposed to be punchy. Tanjiro is having mental breakdown after Rengoku´s death. However him saying why demon slayers are so amazing for standing up to almost immortal demons really solidified why I love series as whole and mainly series powerscaling which makes from all good guys underdogs.

@@armbaria Indeed Rengoku battle was so important aside from other reasons it showed one important fact. Demon Slayers can´t win against strongest demons in 1 vs 1. And thanks to this this shounen much better teamworks than other series.

I love Rengoku! He was so cool in the movie. When I got halfway through the movie I had a feeling that he was going to die. And when Rengoku launched the final attack that’s when I felt oh god he’s going to die. And when I saw that akaza punched through him I felt in my head NOOOOOOOOO!

@@Ben-lo3op yes honestly the author did a phenomenal job in writing the characters. literally every single hashira that come later in the story is so damn likeable. SPOILER even akaza, daki and gyutarou, kukushibou and douma are incredibly well written villains

Tanjiro's theme playing almost made me feel like Rengoku's flames were helping Tanjiro's flames grow stronger and brighter. Both are beautiful and lovable characters.

Rengoku ends up having the biggest impact on Tanjiro going forward. If not for Rengoku's sacrifice, Tanjiro wouldn't have ended up the character he is by the end of the series.

People don't realize how good this move is! The move manages to introduce a character, kills him at the end and make us cry like its a character we've known for years. The emotional payout is on another level!

Tanjirou was more angry than depressed. Rengoku, at least in the movie, already did help him over it. Inosuke reminded Tanjirou of this after he started having that breakdown. Especiel with the instant "We have to train!" while being totaly crying too. And hell they did in those 4 months after they recovered. To the point where Tanjirou was able to keep up, Zenitsu actualy being badass for an ENTIRE SEASON ad Inosuke more buff and trapface than already XD

In the end you may not be the richest person on the planet or may not be the coolest either but you'll be someone on whom other people will definitely rely on at the time of crisis. You may not be the guy everyone every girl dreams to be with but the one they wish were there when things got ugly. Brave, hardworking and living with pride, desire to not hurt others in anyway, head high and not ashamed of his choices. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried in the theater when he died. The writers did such a awesome job of the story that I felt that I knew him my entire life so much that I didn't want him to die & wanted to see more of him in the next season. RIP Rengoku.

For me I'm emotional but never cried always hide it haha, so when a character I like dies, usually I laugh with friends like "noooo how is that possible 😂" but with rengoku, I didn't cry but didn't luagh or smile as usual I was just sad and amazed of the writers

The thing about Demon Slayer is that as simple as the plot is, due to its simplicity, it's easy to season the plot with your own theories and emotional complexity to it with the music

My eyes started to tear up at 3:10. I felt a wave of sadness and sympathy for rengoku. A true champ who sacrificed his life for many. Thank you Rengoku....

I feel so sad about this, Rengoku was the first Hashira i looked at and said "wow he looks amazing! His Redish blonde hair looks great and has flames forms! He must be so badass! He's my fav!" and now how those words bit me in the back by learning his backstory, growing with his voice and manners, liking him by how he is, and than, i just lose him.. it's like i got stabbed with a knife on my back and the writers told me screw you... sigh, you'll always be my favorite Rengoku, and like you said and did, nobody died and life is meaningful to us cause we die.

When Rengoku pulled that final move, I grinned from ear to ear, when he died, I cried and hung my head in respect. Damn, what a movie Mugen Train was.

SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING Shinobu : Is that so ... so Rengoku-san has ... Kanroji : *gasp Tokitou : ... Tengen : So even Rengoku lost to the upper moon demons. Iguro : ... I don't believe this. Gyomei : Namuamidabutsu. Sanemi : I will annihilate all unsightly demons. Giyuu : ... I see. Kagaya : So not even one passengers died when Rengoku protected them? He was an incredible child. I'm not sad, for I won't be alive for much longer either. Before long, Rengoku and the other children will head to the Land of Yomi.

A friend of mine recomended this. I never watch anime for almost 2 decades until I watch it again by this. I can't hold my tears in this scenes and it make more dramatically because of the scenes and music are combined perfectly.

Showing rengoku just makes me wanna cry. It breaks my heart so much, like really much!!! But he died as a hero and was able to talk to Tanjiro and see his mother again. Now rengoku a hero who is finally home.

It really was amazing! everything about it was amazing. The music,The story The animation, The really funny scenes with Inosuke banging on the windows. The funny scene when Nezuko banged Tanjiros head and her forehead bled. The funny scene when Nezuko got tiny and walked out the train car. The funny tuberculous scene, The funny bug eye scenes, The awesome scene when Zenitsu goes beast mode then goes back to normal, The awesome Inosuke scenes, The awesome Rengoku scenes, The funny scene when Rengoku turns giant, and when the 3 slayers start calling Rengoku big brother.

Tanjiro shouting on the series makes me wonder what they did to the va to make him shout with that kind of emotion. Even without music, that scream was pure anger with sadness along with the feeling of hopelesness.

Reading all the comments about tanjiro and what he said WHILE listening to the music almost made me cry, it brought me to tears 😢😭

After watching the movie day before yesterday, I realized how wrong I was.

Especially the music is fitting for this scene, It really shows how kyojuro rengoku was passionate all the way through to fulfill his duty, to make others smile and protecting the weak. When his mother appeared to congratulate him that he did very well on the duty that he was tasked with since he was born, that really had touched my heart. Rengoku is truly a wonderful man
