it is gyomei 1 and sanemi 2nd! thats pretty much confirmed! the breathing technique gyoumei uses, you literally have to be the strongest to pull off (even yorichii had high praises for his era hashira of stone breathing) and sanemi has found out and done things to demons that others havent, you will see later on! the rest are kinda open, someone is more tenacious, someone more skilled swordsman, one more flexible or agile, more stamina etc etc! Tokito is probably the most talented considering his age and his breathing technique and where its from( you'll learn that later on) keep up the reactions guys!!!

True . I personally feel Obanai is the 3rd strongest considering all the feets he pulled off in the later arc. Giyu and Muichiro shares the 4th spot . They are interchangeable . And Shinobu cant be ranked . She is definately the 2nd most powerful if not strongest . Being powerful and strong is different ,right .

No spoilers here. Don't take the hashira's training too seriously though. Those three sparring is completely anime original. So muichiros feats here also an anime original 😆. There is a significance gap between muichiro and sanemi which you will understand in the next arc. They are not even.

I get the purpose of the "filler" scenes regarding Muichiro, like the paper plains or him sitting with Tanjirou before he goes out, but NGL they're just so bland or redundant... Light novel content involving him right there for the picking, which the Author of the manga had a hand in and they just don't even bother....
