I like how when she bring up poisoning his food, she only wants to give him diarrhea. Fits with the earlier comic of her slowly losing her desire to actually kill the hero. (But then again, diarrhea is no joke in pre-modern settings)

Diarrhea meant it was far easier to dehydrate back in the day. Even nowadays it is imperative that you intake more fluids than usual if you get diarrhea in a survival setting.

This reminds me of when both my sister and brother-in-law had a bad day after some house issues. Got a call from her and could tell she was almost in tears. 3 minutes later I had them and both my neice and nephew (3yrs old and 8 months old) over at my house. Spent the next few hours playing with my neice while feeding and holding on to my nephew with them relaxing for a bit. Once I had the 2 little ones they cheered right up. After, all the little ones always seem to sense when something is wrong and it's my job to help out whenever they need me. PS: The house issues got fixed but now my house is the "relax" spot when either the parents need a break/change of scenery or the my neice wants to go wild (backyard is 3x the size of their's).

The parents should put up with their children crying, tantrums, etc even when they had a bad day because *THEY* choose to have them, making them accept everything from the best to the worst moments that will come after. Offering help should be a voluntary act of kindness.
