How would you recommend starting in Long island New York? There is not much wooded areas and big property's like your area. I am not in the city so its not a total loss cause lol. but what kind work can I start with in the suburbs.

Would you use a 9k mini ex and skid steer to do demo work ? And could it be profitable with those size machines on smaller jobs ?

We have used a 12k machine many times for demo work but nothing smaller. I have seen guys so demo work with no cab skid steers out here before so I know you won’t have an issue with a 9k machine until it comes to concrete slabs. Everything will just take longer so your profit per hour will be less but so will your overhead! We are plenty profitable on small and large jobs. We just know pretty well what we need to make by looking at it and if we can’t get that, we will leave a card and walk away. This way if they can’t find it cheaper they can feel free to call us back!

I've torn down many homes with 4ton- 5ton mini ex, most importantly I would make sure the machine has a thumb and that you safeguard hydraulic lines. By the way I never charge hourly

If you rent a excavator 13 k weight -18 it’s like 1800$ week. You can’t make profit like that

Damn man. So you’re basing a new dump truck off of being under 26k? They won’t let you retest? You’ll need a medical card over 10k anyway
