I honestly think there is no 1 build that overpowers others. It all depends on how you play, your play style meaning if you like driving in, shooting 3rs, playing inside, playing defense etc etc, what teammates/friends you have, what do you favor (park or proam) and finally your IQ. Every build has its pros and cons, but the thing that separates the skill set of 2k gamers is how efficiently they use that build to get Ws. And thats what it comes down to. EDIT * your play style meaning if you like driving in, shooting 3rs, playing inside, playing defense etc etc.

I'm at a crossroad right now between Post Scoring/Athletic Finisher and the Rebounding/AF. Trust me on this as a experienced 7'3 340 pound glass cleaner who has played over 500+ pro am games. Listen out, if your good at rebounding without hustle rebounder than you can easily do the same this year, all rebounding is, is about being in great boxing position to snag a board over anyone. Hustle rebounder will most likely be a silver or gold badge but the badge will still be available. Now defense is based upon how good you can play it, I know paint protectors were good at contesting shots but you can also do that with any other big 7'0 - 7'3, so I wouldn't worry about the defense as much because there might be a defensive stopper badge as well either bronze or silver. Now being able to rebound and play defense off of your knowledge then you can now abuse both post scoring and finishing at the rim with ease. Now you have a complete offensive game to dominate. Post scoring fadeaway, drop steps, up and unders. Plus you will have contact dunks to finish any move at the rim. You'll also be the fastest big on the court to run the break after the other team misses or makes a bucket. You'll also have a decent mid range to rely on. All it is , is having basic understanding of rebounding and defense which you can do with any other archetype but dominating with post scoring and contact dunks you can only do that consistently with these archetypes I'm referring you to. Now with the Rebounding/AF your Layups and Dunks are just as great as PS/AF, Rebounding is better so as other physical attributes. Only other game changing thing is Rebounding/AF can obtain HOF Hustle Rebounder. I'm looking more for a Pro-Am build more than park and I can see me as the PS/AF contributing on offense more than the Rebounding/AF as I'll feel like I'm only a role player good for Rebounding and setting screens (which is my role of course) but then again I feel like it'll be more offensive players on the court with my PS/AF which means more double teams which leads to open men to shoot it. If anyone can give me some feedback would be appreciated. I know I typed a whole scouting report but that's the type of player I am, a analytic who wants to go in the game being able to dominate without error.

Bro i was at a crossroads with those two builds too. i think post scorer/AF is the way to go for the reasons u just said. Rebounding/AF is great but its kind of a role player build. PS/AF u can create your own offense and kill with the pick & roll due to the finishing badges. And just like u said, rebounding and defense are all about positioning and IQ.

I was thinking about these builds as well, but PS/AF has only one HOF post badge (spin technician)... The offensive stats on rebounder are as great as the PS, plus you get slightly bigger defensive stats, higher speed and more useful badges. PS/AF might not even have gold hustle rebounder badge...

Edvinas Kačiulis offensive stats are not the same. PS has bettter Layup, Dunk, Mid range and 3, and Post Offense.... GS/AF does have better defensive and athletic attributes and badges that's all... but if PS/AF does have gold hustle rebounder, then that's the move this year...

TR Pants bro i was stuck between these two builds also. but after studying i'm going to go with the PS/AF. the mid range will actually be consistent, you can dominate in offense with post moves and contact dunks. the GS/AF build is only one role, and that's rebounding. but any big man will be able to snag against a GS/AF, rebounding is all about positioning. PS/AF has better dunks, better layups, a way better mid range, better 3pt, and don't even get me started on the post stats. PS/AF is going to be so op. trust me you'll be able to snag just as well as the glass cleaners, and you'll dominate every single player in the paint.

Khop2k not every single player , if someone has a secondary archetype that's defensive you'll have problems , defensive stopper this year brings down your attributes as well

The rebounding/defending and rebounding/driving build are the two best, then the post scorer ones. I think defense should be an archetype bc if the offense of a center is overpowering your defense then you cant do anything about it

I trust you because you're the center guru and I was debating what center to make but now I think I'm going to go with this build

Easily the best 2k18 video I've seen. Probably the same build I will have, but I first want to look at driving and finishing as the primary with rebounding as the secondary archetype. I'm not sure if it's even an option, but it might be super OP. HOF posterizer and HOF relentless finisher on a big man with gold hustle rebounder and gold put back King, maybe even gold brick wall would also just crush everything in its path. Great vid!

Personally i'm choosing a post scorer/athletic finisher. The reason being is if you have a good Sharp who is consistent the center will swap on screen and then you'll have a 6ft 7(below) guard on you. It's a gg from their back him into the post and contact dunk his ass or just use a posy technique to score. By far this is the best build personally. You'll have to attacking threats.

i think the best is post-scoring rebounder because you have great post-scoring and rebounding obviously but also great layups and dunks u also have Bruiser and brick wall on HOF if you are running with a guard that shoots this is the best build

vlonemadeso i know that but although the post spring badges are gold i feel it will still be good enough and since 8i have bruiser on HOF i feel that i can get to the basket easier and with my post scoring maxed it will e east to score if I'm one on one in the paint and if they double team me then someone on my team will be open and just out of curiosity what archetypes are u guys doing

I like your logic, my concern with this build is mid range being so low since I like to pick and pop if the center is defending the paint. HOF hustle rebounder is very key though, and this player has it

My pro am big man is going to be a post scorer primary and rebounding secondary, very well balanced offensively as you're not limited to cutting, you can also create yourself if your team needs a bucket. Also brick wall and bruiser will help getting guards open.

Post-Scoring / Shot Creating that's where it's at... pick and pop and you can still bang down low and grab boards... you just have to know how to get position in the post and box out... BOOM!

Rebounding and shot creating is my favorite. Everything is pretty balanced

6'11 athletic finisher primary rebound secondary lol I still gobble up boards plus hof posterizer lob city finisher pick and roller relentless finisher pick and roller and put back king builds nice for the badges and because he's not 7"3 he usually blows by the bigger centers will literally stuff it on anyone idk just a fun center build to play rather then just sitting under the net all game like most centers your gotta look for the cutting lanes

A few builds you need to check bro is the shot creating post scorer, shot creating driving and finishing as a big. We dont know what are the stats and badges for them.

The only thing I had a little worried about was defense. 2k17 defense was horrible for bigs unless you were a paint protector so I saw that rebounding paint protector looked good. But what you put together is beast! Do you think that the defense will be good enough?

I like that mix, my only issue with it is that it won't create a mismatch. It's more like a "I'm better or good at what matters" build than a "I'm going to take my opponent out of their game" build. Do you think a stretch big, post scorer, glass cleaner or lockdown defender would be frustrated going against you? If I was going to make a big, I'd go with a stretch big personally. Or I'd take your archetype, stay lower weight and below average height and flip driving and finishing to main. As that would at least throw off a stretch big who can't get back on defense quick enough to deal with you, and who can't even get open for a 3 because you're faster. Just my opinion though. And I'm more about the Rec/Pro am games. In park that might be the ultimate mismatch with all the little guys running around

Awesome breakdown, man. I just don't know about the shooting. I like to be able to drain a long range middie so that I can keep the D honest when I play with dribble heads that want to iso. Spacing and all that. We don't know if the mid will be enough on this build to do that.
