Persephone didn't have a saying on who to marry...

Persephone was called Kore before she was kidnapped by Hades.... Kore means "Maiden". Persephone means "Queen".

TheVermilliaFamily Actually, there are many words from ancient Greek which may be identified with "queen": Potnia and Anassa, which are titles of Demeter. Persephone likely comes from the meanings (Perseïs, destroy, ravage) and phonoi (murder, killing, slaughter). The aspect of "Perses" likely ties to the Titan father of Hecate, and star constellations of Perseus or Sirius.

Ainyx Actually I know that Persephone (Περσεφόνη in Greek)comes from πέρσις "destruction" and φονή "slaughter, killing" so it can be translated into "she who destroys with slaughter" so not a very funny and peaceful name, in fact she's the queen of the Underworld

@@entrylevelnerd9789 But in the OG version Persephone wonders into a portal to the underworld and refused to leave to Demeter asked Hades and Zues to help, Zues tried to reason with her but she wouldn't leave so he was all like "ok fine, but your names not Kore anymore lol" and then she is queen. That is before it was changed to what I know. Persephone loves Hades in both of which though

Yeah no, there are literally so many versions and there is no *right* version or *original* source. In Homer’s version, she did not love Hades.
