I'm pretty sure only wave beam combo is used cause you can't effectively aim the others apart from ice which deals like no damage

The first time I won vs Ridley as a kid, it was using Emerald Splash. It can hit multiple times for big damage, but is hard to aim. If you have trouble predicting Ridley's movements, the lack of aim becomes a benefit, since you are likely to hit the same number of times anyway. X-Factor hits more times for more damage, and it is possible to guarantee all four hits on certain targets with some set-up, which is why it is the prefered method of attack when discussing beam combos. The other beam combos are mostly useless. All of them are near useless if you have as much experience as Oats, since he knows how the bosses will move in almost all situations and can consistently land supers and charged shots while focusing on not taking damage.
