Delta T Issues and 3 Keys to Optimize Hydronic Systems: ASHRAE NY April 2022 Chapter Meeting

Presented by: Luciano Belo, Head of Sales IMI Hydronic Engineering
Date: April 19th, 2022
It can be a challenge finding cost effective energy savings that can be implemented today. Long term decarbonization and energy saving planning is critical, but optimizing existing system controls today is a great first step to meet your company's and client's operational and energy saving goals. Join ASHRAE NY on 4/19/22 to learn about strategies to help including:
Solving Low Delta T Syndrome, the Most Common Mistakes, and Implications of Hydronic Balancing.
3 Keys for perfect hydronic control:
Key 1: Setting the design GPM in each coil
Key 2: Maintain stable ∆p across the control valve
Key 3: Primary Flow should be ≥ Secondary Flow)
Differences between balancing valve types (manual, automatic, PIBCV, DP Controllers).
Recommendations where to place the DP Sensor to control the VSP.
