In the copse of trees seen at 11:58, just south of the VORTAC antenna, is a fully functioning cemetery that is grandfathered into the airport land. Flat Rock Cemetery. The church was moved but the boneyard stayed. Amazing to say, there is another one a half mile beyond this one. That one has many fewer customers.

I honestly believe both pilots were former Navy pilots because what we experienced was a carrier landing!

Was better by far than our landing in Vegas we bounced down the runway twice also delta.. and our decent was also far more turbulent. We kept getting aft then opposing sheer that alternately tossed the wings back and forth like cougar from top gun. Then bam bam on the runway hard enough to blow multiple over head compartments open. But we made it!! Our flight there and back was excessively turbulent though no matter the pilot nor the day. I’m guessing end of October is simply that way out west turbulent.

Chances are, this was a former marine or navy pilot with their experience landing on an aircraft carrier. I had a similar landing experience in Atlanta coming from Texas one year 😃 pretty cool!

That was my opinion as well. I did notice that the pilots kept the cockpit door closed after we got to the gate. Usually, they open it.

there was too much wind, the pilot did the correct thing while insuring the safety of everyone on board.. a long float would have ended up in an overrun. not a good landing but a safe one indeed

It was four years ago come July, it was a Delta flight from Melbourne, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. I don't remember the seat number, sorry.

I'm not for certain. This flight was almost a year ago. From looking at a seat map, I'd have to say it was perhaps 29A.
