Great Case study and the fact that it was derived form a practical case (By the CEO Barry Salzberg) made it even more interesting. My feedback about the coach: 1. It's never the case in reality that a person would mask facts about productivity and reveal them later. So, making the two facts be revealed later during the conversation puzzled the candidate and you can't expect someone not to breathe and give you answers correctly. More revelation will extract better results. 2. If you expected McKinsey type brainstorming just to save 5 minutes... Then why not say it? The candidate might not be thinking of methods applied by a separate organization as it may offend the interviewer. I would absolutely not point this out in any of my team members, rather share a suggestion and ask them to lead with it. 3. Why not say something to comfort her during the conversation? I think too much in-your-face interaction can make anyone nervous. Atlast, the interviewer did a great job sharing the insight at the end for the audience.

Great case. Bringing the quantitative to human capital situations is where it’s at.

How do companies accommodate applicants with learning disabilities during a case interview? What steps do they take to ensure all candidates have a chance to succeed?

Really useful video! Can I ask, is it good practice to apply critical thinking to the facts shared by the interviewer? As someone who works in industry, I would want to understand how the productivity improvement values had been determined; what the sample size they were based on etc were? Also, there didn't seem to be any conversation around the provider's capability to deliver f2f training across multiple locations, during a pandemic. Should this not have been explored?

Kathiann, congrats on your interview! Highly recommend continuing to do out-loud cases with a partner and getting constructive feedback on your weaknesses. If you lack quality case partners, you can 1) join our free LinkedIn group (www.linkedin.com/groups/13980703/) or 2) purchase 1 or more hours with an ex-MBB consultant from our team (managementconsulted.com/product/intro-to-interviews/).

I'm so glad you're doing Deloitte too. Unfortunately, I underestimated the Deloitte case interview which ended up being much harder than the BCG one..

Did you go through interviews from both Deloitte and BCG? How are the results?

I got to the second round with BCG but not with Deloitte. Deloitte first round was that I thought second round could maybe be like. Hypothetical, conversation case but extremely quantitative. In my region, Deloitte is bigger and better known than BCG but I didn’t expect it to be so much harder.

@@pandabear7216 keep spirited. In my country, Indonesia, Deloitte specializes in organizational transformation, also mainly tax related topics. Differently, BCG is more well known for its business management expertise. My experience with BCG is that you can still work out the study case with strong logical thinking and basic business knowledge not profound one. I have an Engineering background and got through the first study case. I will be trying McKinsey this year, wish me luck. I wish you a good luck too, anyway 🤗

Jeez, this is boring af. Can she just get to the point, stop asking questions and just paint a picture. Her question asking/ lack of confidence is disturbing in this scenario

yeah agree, a bit of rambling here but on the positive side shemade great points to consider the set up comprehensively (who is trained, what is trained, training frequency, training impact; cost & benefit assessment)
