I used to live in NYC and this machine was a life saver. After my clothes got bleached in one of those stupid laundry places, I decided never again so I bought a $130 USD portable washer like this one. Yes you have to get one of those cheap hose adapters and connect it to your sink, twas really easy! Tip though, make sure to rinse your clothes at least 2 times or until the suds are gone. Rinsing them just once and them popping them into the spinner will make you end up with smelly clothes. You really have to get rid of the suds.

Mike Platt that’s exactly what you are supposed to do with them. The spinner isn’t a dryer, it’s the spin cycle. So you wash, spin the soapy water out, and you have a water inlet on the spin side to add a few sprays of water to rinse as much soapy water out as possible to get the clothes ready for the rinse. I had the grand parent to these machines, the Hoover spinmatic. Maytag, and hotpoint also made great twin tub washers.

I use an exercise step. This keeps it off the floor of the tub. You could also put a rubber mat under the machine to muffle it when it spins. I have the panda and its going on 4 years now. I will get the larger della next. I also have a large regular washer but i found that its quicker using the portable as it doesn't use as much water or soap.

I've had this exact model Della washer/spinner for over 2 years now, and I still love it. I'll never go back to using the laundry room in my NYC apartment building. Yes, you have to initiate each step for filling, washing, and draining, but it's no big deal when I'm in the apartment getting other things done. You can hear when the washer's finished each step and you know it's time to go on to the next one. I cleared the floor of a small closet next to the bathroom and I keep it there when not in use. I just lift it and walk 3 steps to set it in the bathroom next to the tub, with the drain hose placed in the tub. I use a fine wire strainer insert in the tub so as to not clog up the building's pipes with lint. Instead of filling up a bucket, I have a hose with a flexible rubber funnel at one end to fit over the sink's faucet and I just insert the other end (sprayer head removed) directly into the washing machine. I am careful to remove as much water as possible when I'm all finished because I'm afraid that any standing water inside the washer will grow bacteria or mold. The built-in pump for draining is a must. I can't imagine relying on a gravity drain. I wish I'd thought to buy this or something like it years ago! During the current pandemic I am especially grateful that I don't have to leave the apartment and use laundry facilities that everyone else uses. Definitely a lifesaver. BTW, the size of the load is about 1/2 the capacity of a commercial front-loader. I can't wash 2 queen size sheets at the same time...the agitator won't turn. Instead I wash one sheet, one towel, plus various small articles in a single wash. So what? Still more convenient than going downstairs and carrying a basket, soap and softener.

I have the exact same washer. Using it now as we speak. Mine stays in the restroom and I just run the hose into the bathtub to drain. I use the handle of a 5 gallon bucket to keep the hose secure in the tub so it doesn't pop out. I just keep the bucket inside the tub while using. ALSO, I use the a lawn water hose (yes the green colored one....it's about 10ft long) with a sink adapter and that's how I fill up my washer....EASY PEASY. For me to keep filling the bucket with water and pouring it in refilling it up again lifting and pouring in became tiresome for me, so that's why I decided to buy the water hose and sink adapter. I just roll up the water hose and sit it in the washer side once I'm done. 😀 I almost forgot, I had one of the foldable clothes racks that you have, but I didn't like how my towels felt "hard and crunchy" after drying. So with a little research on wonderful KZread, I discovered compact driers too, lol. I ordered a compact drier that I sit on top of a desk and I've been drying small loads. No more crunchy towels😀😀😀

@@freshgear687 If the washer side is completely filled, I have to spin dry it in two loads, because the spin basket is much smaller. I usually set it for 4 minutes. The clothes are then only slightly damp when I hang them up. Doesn't take very long at all to dry, depending on the humidity level in your place. Sometimes just a few minutes, sometimes an hour or two. I don't like using a heated dryer anyway because that damages your clothing a bit each time, as I understand it.

Hey there! Thanks for the video. I have one of these in my Amazon cart and I'm about to take the plunge for use in our RV. I have a few questions though. Do the instructions say to rinse in the spin cycle? It seems that you'd need to spin the dirty water out of the clothes first and then rinse with clean water. I ask because there is a water inlet on the spin side as well and leaving the dirty soap in the clothes would make the clothes stiff, I would imagine. Also, how long have you had this machine and are you still pleased with it? Thanks again for the video..it was helpful! ~Peace

Might be a good idea to leave the lids open for the machine to dry completely. Someone else on yt also suggested to cleanse the machine at least once a month with a wash cycle, no clothes in the machine, with apple cider vinegar to cleanse it from germs as a result of all of that water. Ty for doing this demonstration without over explaining and talking us to death without getting to the point lol👍

These lil washers are cute but the demos it seems a pain in the ass. To move back n forth to your shower. To fill up manually. And only 6 pieces at a time. Id rather just wake up 7am do my laundry at the laundromat and be finished in an hour. And go back home to sleep. Most times while my clothes wash im able to go to the supermarket and head back to the laundry to dry my stuff for 10 min and head back home. If i buy a washer i need a standard to do all the work for me..not a portable.
